"Icons" are circle image, create with DesktopVisualizeR, covered with uccw frame (shape with shadow).

They sure work on any type of phone with any type of resolution.
Download and instal the skin on your phone. After this in UCCW settings set off " lock widget " ( hotspot ) . From this moment you can modify the skin ( background , shape , text , houre ... ) and try to redemension it for your type of screen.
I sugest you to start with those that do not cover all the screen , it's eazyer .
I hope this is usefull !

Hmm I placed it on my desktop, but when I click playstore it opens uccw not play store.
Why it does so?
