New SGS2 = i9100G only?

There seemed to be a shortage of SGS2s or something. I checked Expansys, Negri, Amazon, and MCO a few weeks ago and they were all sold out. Then Expansys started having them again a week or two ago so I ordered.

Turns out to be a i9100G... Uhmmm. That sucks for ROMs.

Is this the new trend now? I want a regular i9100, not a G version.... What can I do (other than buying used of course)

Return it, you've bought the G version this should not be advertised as an i9100. If they advertised it as an i9100 and sent you a i9100G then that's false advertising.

absolutely. im going to return it. but at the same time im wondering if its possible to score a i9100 still.... if not then oh well

Why not buy from ebay if you are in US. Got mine for 400 dollars new with accessories.

always possible. a bit lazy to vet sellers and quality varies person to person.... i wouldn't mind getting it new considering Negri and Expansys offer warranty support for US customers at least.

I also see it on Amazon and I can get it with Prime shipping, but I'm afraid they'll ban me if I return this. I just returned a set of $130 headphones from Christmas that I decided would be a bad gift.
