Weird. I thought it would work. Placing the .xml itself in system/vendor/ect does work.

Thanks so much for this. The bloated Oreo stock LG rom was just way too laggy for this type of model, but it seemed I HAD to have it(stock) to use the DAC. I'm not sure if this is actually making my TMobile h918 LOS 16 with Gamna1.2 actually use the DAC or just boosting the audio. Either way, it's like having the DAC with all the sweetness of LOS speeds and features and Pie. I LOVE my music and this phones ability to play it and you brought it all together for me thanks again

Bit unclear about how to go about this. My setup is Oreo Stock Magisk with v4a and dolby4atmos installed. I'm happy to just replace a file with TWRP manager. What file should I flash and to where. I don't have any file in /system/etc. Will the fact I'm using Magisk make a difference?

I'm very late to the party as I found the LG V20 not that long ago; however, after reading practically the whole thread, I'm seeing that things have been added, upgraded, changed, etc. as far as the MOD is concerned. Is there such a thing as the Ultimate Final version (a stable) to this MOD if you will. I have the H910 model on AO Oreo right now. I was looking for one of those phone cases that would rerout the sound through the front not knowing there was a MOD for it.

The same as many people in this thread; I've seen it mentioned repeatedly, my fear is damaging the earpiece. It's a paradox, I want the best sound possible, yet I don't want to risk damaging anything, I know. If there is such an option though please let me know.

My LG V20 on AO Oreo is perfect right now as I just purchased a brand new battery for it, but I'm tired of arching the palm of my hand to rerout the sound when watching YouTube videos since there's no sound coming from the other side.

I did not set the Volume so high it would cause damage.
Should be perfectly safe. I use it still on my V20 when I use the device. I have moved onto the Note 9 as of right now.

Hi everyone, anyone knows how to get high impedance working in Stock Oreo?, when I try to edit mixer_path, on my phone don't work any sound from speaker, earphones or even bluetooth.

EDIT: Trying again, It works to edit mixer_path in H990N Stock Oreo.

Hi as you guys may know the dual sim V20 (H990DS) has normal speaker not B&O and varies with verizon,sprint and other models unfortunately im using H990DS model with normal speaker power and seriously im confused with using which mixer patch i want both speakers front and bottom to work perfect without crackling and distortion with seamless work in music and call also i noticed in some of those mixer patch files the impedance and volume when using headphones or hands-free are too loud and damages ears badly i felt my brain was going to collapse? im waiting for any guide that solves my problem especially from @rootlinux thank you for reminding you my phone is LG V20 H990DS VARIANT and i used the v2 zip from herehttps://mega.nz/#!JMV1SA4S!m9vEfZG1cpRjqyfop7R2azYLzRLrRIsQ6Q8Njd2A88o and two files you given here https://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=74399474. finally my 990ds got stereo mod and the volume back to standard. it's okay, i prefer the normal volume set up than the louder one.

This works great for me too; except that I have no audio when I switch from HiFi on to off.

does Dolby atmos work alongside the built-in dac? or can you only boost the volume through your mod and or the mixer_path through a root manager? I want to root my phone and see how well Dolby or your mod would work with the dac and also get a rom newer than oreo

Unzip the file. Place it in root of internal storage in folder System/etc. Set permissions, turn device off then power back on.
That is all.

After setting my device up again I am pretty sure I found the problems some had as I had them that time.
Found and fixed the problems. Hifi really FORCED with Stereo.

I loved your mod when I was rooted, but sadly I lost that phone as it died randomly. Is there anyway that this can be in an apk to use without rebooting? I seen earpiece apps, but its only ear piece. Or do you know or any apps that do this already? You or anyone? Im on temp root and cant manually paste or flash files is why I ask. ls997 Oreo also. Only way for temp root. Even nougat still if able.

Other idea... Is there a way to adb push this and set permissions also?

Could someone who is knowledgeable in this matter add "Quad Dac high impedance mode when HiFi is enabled" to the .xml MOD I'm including as an attachment?

Right now I'm using a stereo MOD that turns on the front and bottom speaker, and makes the in-call volume sound a little louder without distorting as much; however, I've always wanted to test the one in the actual post which is the: "Stereo sound via Front and Bottom firing speakers. Lowered volume to help protect your expensive device. Quad Dac high impedance mode when HiFi is enabled", solely for the "Quad Dac high impedance mode when HiFi is enabled" part; which I'm missing of coarse.

The MOD I'm using right now is great, and all I need aside from what I already have is: "Quad Dac high impedance mode when HiFi is enabled".

As there are so many MOD variants with settings added and removed in this thread, I actually chased/followed/tracked down the MOD I'm using right now, as @rootlinux was making changes on-the-go to one of his original MODs; taking requests from people and modifying it to their liking. Needless to say, the MOD I'm using might have the same name as of one of his original MODs, but I believe it has specific changes here and there @rootlinux made himself as personal requests. The name on the MOD is: "Master Mix with Stereo Loud Speakers and boosted in call volume_mixer_paths_tasha.xml", but with many changes through out the thread.
