So I can go and flash the T710XXU2AOJ4 firmware? Because it's U2? Not liking the 5.1.1 brightness slider. It turn off auto brightness :D And after flashing oj1 I don't have my language in menu. Can anyone check maybe Canadian version have Lithuania in it? Or maybe that unknown one?

P. S. Maybe someone know where I can find a full guide how to deknox 5.1.1 and what apps can be debloated. Would like to make ROM as light as possible. Thx in advance
Ya I 2nd the denoxing...
On the Tmobile note 4 there is a knox removal flash floating around..
However the knox files are not the same for the Tab S2.

Also still my main question goes unanswered...
What firmware is everyone on? OJ1 I assume...

OL6 is the most recent posted by Sammy...
Again I ask; is anyone on OL6?
I guess its not a pressing issue until the source is released by Samsung which Im guessing will be next week.
(historically they release it a week to ten days after I email them requesting it)

Either way I will keep digging so its OJ1 for me till I figure how solid OL6 is.
also untill we can get a 1:1 OL6 kernel. :p

So if anyone has experience with OL6 please post.
Thanks!

I would like to get ol6 changelog to see if it's worth flashing it.

I think I have the firmware you guys are talking about. I haven't noticed any difference between this and the previous one I had installed. My question is... what's the probability of encountering any problem when updating to MM? As in Samsung releasing MM with revision 1.

If any of you would like to know more about this firmware, let me know.

What? If they release MM it will definitely have a never bootloader. If they release it with rev 1 it wouldn't be a upgrade and even Odin won't let u flash it. At least what I understand you can flash do what ever u want, u will just trip Knox and thats all. If u flashed OJ1 or that latest firmware u can't go to some of the 5.0.2 firmware if the bootloader revision is 1.

I'm not sure what you mean by tripping Knox but I flashed it with Odin and didn't trip Knox. I suppose you're right about the Marshmallow update.

Ye sry my bad, u can flash stock firmware with odin and not trip any knox :) So those that are stuck with 5.0.2 in they region they can just update with odin but some languages are missing in USA firmware. Had to use wanam my language app and that one needs root :)

How did you get this firmware? Was it already on the device when you got it?
Or was it done via SmartSwitch or OTA?

My device was stuck on 5.0.2 so I went here and got the T710XXU2BOJ1 Canadian version of 5.1.1. After a while I noticed someone on this forum asking about the newer version, the one here and thought "I already have the previous XAC version installed. Might as well install this new one as well".

Went ahead and flashed it via Odin.

Sweet... let us know how it runs after you have had some time behind it.
If you need root then you will need to go back to BOJ1 which is no big deal.

I've had it for about a month now. I haven't noticed anything different really. If you'd like to know anything in particular, let me know.

I don't care about rooting because I've purchased an extended warranty and that's 4 years in total. Did that with my previous iPad and got my money back after 3 and a half years of using it. Got this one for free basically... well I did pay 10$ for it to cover the difference :D.

Where are you from? What warranty?
Also what does rooting have to do with a third party warranty?

I'm from Romania. I have a 2 year standard warranty and an extra 2 years of extended warranty after the 2 years extended warranty will expire. The extra 2 years costs 50$. The ones covering the warranty are known to cancel your warranty for anything really.

For example I had to buy a new charging cable on my iPad before sending it in because the guy at the store told me people have sent their iPads/iPhones with cables looking like the one below and got their warranties canceled.

I've read that in some cases they check the Knox counter to see if it was triggered. Also, with Nova launcher, the tablet feels like CM.

I've had BOL6 for a couple weeks I think via SmartSwitch initialization.

If you're terribly concerned about knox status and have accidental protection, your tablet might have an accident that could possibly prevent the screen from functioning and or turning on at all... never know when these things happen.

I explicitly made my tablet purchase on amazon to get accidental coverage, so I got this: SquareTrade 3-Year Portable Electronics Accident Protection Plan ($250-300) $35.85, it's also about $10 cheaper than the tablet plan and still viable. (I checked.)

SquareTrade generally does not care about knox so long as your issue is not a software one.
