I would just like to say in advance, that I apologize for what will seem like a foolish question, but to me all answers and help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to Samsung ( I'm coming from a Droid X2 ) and my Note 3 is coming in tomorrow. I was able to transfer pictures and audio files to my pc which I want to transfer to my N3,. I just wanted to ask which is the best ( or correct ) way to transfer them from pc. This forum is a wealth of information for people like me, and any help from the forum would be very helpful. I will transfer my contact list via assistant, unless someone can give me a better course. Thanks again for any help you can take the time out to provide. Wish everyone the best and enjoy your Note 3's , they've been a long time in coming.

Just like all android devices, they have a folder where all the pictures are stored. In my galaxy nexus, nexus 7, and my old droidx, the pictures that I have taken were stored in the DCIM folder on the SDcard. Pictures that I have downloaded were stored in the Downloads folder. Every time I pulled up an application to view pictures, it would display all the pictures regardless of where they were stored. As far as your music, they will probably need to be placed in the Music folder on the SDcard as they are on my devices.
