New To WinMo: Need assistance

I'm currently waiting for my x1 to come and I just want to know about the R3A Rom. What is it about and What is a Rom? I would also want to know about manila 1 and 2. If possible post any recommended software for beginners, tips and tricks and so on just to give me a perspective on WinMo 6.1. And does the X1 support SanDisk 16Gig MicroSDHC?

r3 rom = the 3rd fireware upgrade for the x1, improves, fixes and adds stuff (not out yet)

Manila = is touchflo. there is the new 3d version that is out in roms and hopefully a cab soon that has landscape and other new stuff. (the one u want to have)


16gb = it can take up to 32gb micro sd cards

its out in rom form here in the rom section with landscape but the cab with landscape is still being worked on to work with the x1

Ok what about the new panel manager, would you recommend it, what are the advantages and disadvantages of it

new panel mamager is a lot better and faster, only con i have fould is that it keeps running in the background.

it will be included (as it is part of) the new r3 fireware, when it gets released

My suggestion would be to try R2 rom to see why all these people get crazy about R3. Xperia with r1 rom was a big disappointment to me. Xperia with r2 rom is really the smartphone I paid all this money for... Big improvement.
