Can't do recovery reboot

I've been trying to install this rom but have ended up with a phone that consistently crashes a few minutes after it boots. I think I need to a data wipe but I can't get the phone to boot into recovery.

1. Flashed the sbf using RSD lite
2. Rooted using SuperOneClick
3. Installed defy_recovery-1218-0326-signed.apk using EasyInstaller
4. Installed recovery system (says it installs ok)
5. Tried doing recovery reboot but it just shows Moto logo and then screen goes black and I have to take the battery out

Have tried rebooting and powering on with both volume buttons held in but that just does a normal boot. This was a UK Defy with official 2.1 ROM, root access and LauncherPro

UPDATE: Got it working again with Settings > Privacy > Factory Reset

* In my Tattoo (Cyanogen / Froyo), when I want to select a widget (to add it), every widget from the same app are in a same group. In this Defy rom, nothing is grouped. Any idea ?

EDIT it works!!! you can use this bootonly with UK rom.

UPDATE: Got it working again with Settings > Privacy > Factory Reset

Didn't need it.. you can switch off "Debug USB" and it work... good luck..

Ofcourse you can use only 2G, forcing it is a default android option in 'Wireless & Networks', 'Mobile networks', 'Select Network'.

As for grouped widgets, I suspect that is a feature provided by Cyanogen.

Ok thanks, reading "network" I was thinking "provider" that's why I didn't try to change the value.

Ah, you also have to disable USB debugging to boot into the recovery

after restore nandroid and flash bootonly.sfb everything work but the camera

I don't think it works with any Defy Froyo?

i find the way 2 solution this problem, install mileston oc 1.47--do some by mileston oc and uninstall----install setvsel. is working

Does anyone has issues with sudden reboots, too?
When I activate and deactivate my WiFi, I loose the normale signal, only Emergency Calls, then reboot...
I used TB to get my contacts and settings back...

Haptic feedback solved.

Dont do that!

For all who are annoyed by the very short haptic feedback on this new leaked firmware. By mistake when trying to put back my preferred black statusbar I copied the wrong files (framework-res.apk and services.jar) that had as original starting point the TMO 3.4.2 leak... Good news... haptic feedback is back again. I will not post here my files because they are moded after my taste, but I am sure that the original files from TMO release will do.

Please try and let me know.

Dont do that! seems some settings are not ok anymore and the phone wont shutdown anymore also. Anyway we know where the problem is. Maybe somebody with better experience can help me find the problematic constant. I suspect there is a constant somewhere in some xml in framework-apk.res that defines how long the haptic feedback is. Help would be greatly appreciated!

I am on 2.51 rooted rom. Can someone help me confirming that i just flash sbf from 1st post and i will be strt on froyo from eclair? do i need to flash any boot file as well? i have blur acct setup on this phone ... thx for your help
