Btw, the TS10 unit I bought came with a CANBUS box and as I have read in another thread, the steering wheel buttons cannot be reprogrammed if there is a CANBUS box present. Maybe I'm wrong, perhaps anyone has any idea about this and is anyone with the same firmware version experiencing the same thing?

EDIT: I updated the firmware using the online update section in the head unit. If I could downgrade this current version to something older, not sure if it would help.

Try to go to ABOUT in settings and do a MCU upgrade. If that dont work go to GENERAL - EXTRA SETTINGS (code 123456 or 8888) - MODEL CHOOSE.

Take a picture of the CANBUS settings! (so you remember it)

Then press the exact same settings again and press OK and it should update (need to be online).

Attached is the pic of my canbus box.

One challenge I have is that in the MCU upgrade menu, there are 2 Vito’s listed. I can’t for the life of me figure out which one is it. The only thing I know is the manufacturer of the box is from OuDi.

Does anyone have an idea which selection I should make given this box?

You can try both of them - there is no damage done if you get the wrong one. I tried over 50 different ones for my car before i ended up with the Binary version which worked perfect for my car (even though the seller told me i should use the Hiworld version that didnt work at all for my car).

Hello again!

Tried to install your ZLINK app but explorer says it’s a Tlink software and it installs my Tlink latest version. Tried to delete both but it’s look the same. Very weird.

if I tried to install another Zlink version from other source it’s ok but says the “mismatch” problem.

Don’t know how to solve that. Can you help me?

Yeah, its a mess with the Tlink and Zlink and there is also on some units Carlink and Easy connection installed. I asked my seller again for the latest version of Tlink and he said its version 1.8.9 and the link i got to download it (on a Chinese site) didnt work and he had no other link to provide. The best we can do is to start with for example one of the 1.5 versions and activate it and then upgrade with newer ones because it doesnt delete the activation.

I wish there was a seller that could provide a simple download for us customers where all needed updates and latest versions of firmware was available for download. But thats not the case at the moment!

Here i have a download list of all T-link versions i have and all similar software versions i got from my seller to get a working wired/wireless Carplay/Android Auto - so try them out and see if one works for you. And if someone have Tlink 1.8.9 or later - PLEASE share it!

1. Tlink 1.5.19

2. Tlink 1.5.29

3. Tlink 1.7.7

4. Seller provided Zlink (but seems to be some Tlink version)

5. Zlink 4.0.37

6. CarLink (seller provided me this one shows as link 2.0)

Try to use the online upgrade function (FOTA) and see if it can find a update for you first - you need to be connected to WIFI or 4G for it to work.

You have the 4gb 32gb version which have Android 11 and we that have the 6gb 128gb which still only have Android 10. My seller said its the same firmware but im not sure about that - you also have the WINDOW-THEME1 version which have a separate window for the map which the THEME1 version lacks.

This is the latest firmware version we have for the 6gb 128gb versions (which my seller says will work for your unit also) and its the WINDOW-THEME1. NOTICE! But im not 100% sure he has right about its compatible with your unit! so do it on your own risk!

It is a mess because the different sellers of TS10 units do their own "Frankenstein" firmwares and use old versions of applications mixed with new ones and hide the settings deep into menus so we as customers ends up with a headunit that could be perfect but now lack a way to do easy and simple settings.

NOTICE! If you have a CANBUS decoder for your car so can you try reinstall or update the software for it.

I managed to get hold of the latest versions of Tlink so here we go:

Tlink 1.8.8

Tlink 1.8.9

I also got hold of the ROOTED firmware TS10.1.2_20211222.190750_THEME1-V4A+Rooted if someone is interested to try it send me a PM so will i share a link. I dont want to give it official here in the thread before i tried it myself and tested it work without problems.

And I also got a special file that change the Android version to 10, 11 or 12..... need testers! Not sure if this is a trick sellers use to fool buyers that they have a different version of Android.

I know the advantage of a rooted mobile devide but, what are the advantages in a Head Unit?

I think the problem is on my license, its says Wireless Carplay + Android Auto but i saw other people on the forum has others kind of license.

Also, i saw that image on the web:

The advantages with a rooted head unit is the same as on a telephone - you will have the power to remove/install what you want. But there is a risk if you dont know what you do to brick the head unit just as on a phone.

Instadiegus if you use your filemanager on the headunit do you have the folder .Blink (inside it is several items including license files).

The other folder to look for is .twhide (inside this one should you find speedplay.license).

Check if you have them.​

    Yes, the Theme1 has no "window" where you for example can use a map (like Sygic, TomTom, Google Maps, Yandex). And the Window-theme1 has that function (see pictures below)

    Hopefully somebody finds those URLs/endpoints useful.
    I don't know much about android internals, but downloading an APK over HTTP and then executing that APK to flash the canbox seems like potential avenue for rooting things. Inject your own APK and if the process on the head unit runs the APK as a system level user, the injected APK sould also get system level permissions, right?

    I've also been dealing with this issue and how to access the cardoor.cn server for a few days. Maybe there are older MCU files there too? Till now I haven't found any way to access Chinese server directly and get files like MCU, climate control app and vehicle settings app. I don't own a TS10, but access is similar or the same on the TS9. The requests to the server must and are apparently sent directly via POST.

    I was also able to record these requests with a sniffer and root on my TS9 and am currently in the process of reconstructing them. The biggest problem currently denying access is the ever-changing signature that is sent with the POST request. This appears to be an MD5 hash. I get a Code 200 (OK) response from the server: "illegal request".

    In addition, the file names are rather cryptic.
    It looks like these are sourced from cdn.mcu.cardoor.cn.
    But: The server expects a direct URL to the file! Otherwise there is an error message.

    My background is not evil. I just want to get a previous MCU for my TS9 in some way. Unfortunately they are very difficult to impossible to get...

    I didn't know the md5sum of the firmware it shipped with since i don't have that firmware. Since the seller emailed me a firmware update which md5 matched with the one over here i was almost certain it would work. I took a bit of a risk with the latest update though.

    I used an old usb 2.0 stick. Formatted it to FAT32 and extracted the files to the root of the usb. Connect it to the usb connector of your TS10, reboot the device and go to the Car settings and somewhere in System settings (can't remember it exactly) you can manually update it by selecting the usb stick. It will load all the files from the usb stick to the device, automatically reboot and update it. Which takes around 5-10 minutes.

    Go to applications/car settings/ click on the left button ---more/ Google services and preferences/ click on account services/ search, assistant & voice/ voice/ voice match.
    First line should say hey Google access your assistant any time you say "hey Google" when your screen is on. Turn this off.
    This worked for me. I'll make a short video just in case

    Place the file in the root of a USB and hit the system upgrade button in the settings.
    After the update, go to settings - car settings - extra setting - 123456 - config info - choose the options that were ticked prior to the update (BC6 for me)

    The update file is titled: TS10.1.2_20210106.173438_THEME1.zip
