The biggest problem for our headunits using Google Assistant is not low mic volume. I thought my inbuilt mic was broken first, but after trying several different firmwares and TLINK versions so have i come to the conclusion that the biggest problem is not the microphone or volume settings its instead that the stock radio app, navigaton and so on interfere with Google Assistant - when i disable the RADIO (under factory settings) and dont play any music so does voice commands works perfect even at normal speech with Google Assistant.Hey I am also struggling with the mic being too low issue. I have maybe a solution but need to test it when I have some time.
There is this ts10 toolkit script which let's you extract the firmware content and patch it. I plan to edit the build.prop using some settings posted in another thread of fyt units. Will report once it is done
It seems the Chinese manufacturers put most effort in making their own versions of Google Assistant "copies" to works on TS10 head units and left the orginal crippled and unusable. Thats why the stock theme not even have a Google Assistant dedicated button yet (which hopefully comes soon, and a easy way to change the stock theme blue boring background!). The best we can do at the moment when using TLINK is to open BLUETOOTH (the Phonecall app - see picture below)
And set Microphone gain to max but like i wrote before in this text will that not help because other software will interfere and make Google assistant unresponsive and "deaf" even if you scream your lungs out into the microphone.
