Sorry to hear that you're having issues with the camera.

We have investigated the root cause of this and have prepared a correction which is now being delivered as part of a new software release.
The software release containing this correction begin with version 14.4.A.0.155 and onwards.
The software roll out has already begun in some markets however the exact timing may vary from market to market due to local approval criteria.
Good news :)

Today I received an update on the PC Companion (I have the French version, not on a specific carrier) but it's stuck on error 1200 (Sony Mobile Update Engine Error 1200).

I will try to fix this error and let you know.

did you try to delete the folder with the numeric name in: "C:\ProgramData\Sony Mobile\Update Engine\db\"
and then start again?

by the way, is it possible to root the new firmware with EasyRootTool?

you should be able to root it with newroot but yo might have to flash .108 kernel then root your phone then flash the new kernel

Solved error 1200 by desactivating my antivirus :)

Now, it's downloading the firmware (it will take around 2 hours)... and yes, I have a poor internet connexion :crying:

According to this tutorial (to share the firmware once it will be downloaded), I have to use Flashtool. But if I look on the "Tools3 menu, I dont' see the option "SEUS Decrypt". What should I do ?

False alarm, it's the same firmware than I had
I already was using firmware 14.4.A.0.108 and it updated to the same one ? And why today ? Maybe a second edition ?
@Pakman123 : what do you mean by my si number ? Is it 1279-7243 ?

Bear with me if this is a stupid question, but this is my first Sony phone. I have a UK unlocked S5503 running 14.4.A.0.108 which I bought second hand. It appears to have originally been sold by Virgin Mobile and some carrier-specific apps are in present in the ROM. For some reason also I'm not getting any LTE - the options under mobile networks/network mode are only 3G or GSM.

What I want to do is flash my phone to a stock unlocked UK firmware such as this one, when it finally comes out - which hopefully should get rid of the carrier apps and give me LTE.

What sort of update file should I be looking for? how are roms normally packaged, as full updates to flash from the PC or as updates you can flash from the phone itself? how can I tell which is which?

This is not a thread for such questions, it's about specific firmware 14.4.A.0.155.
