What's drama? I just need phone in working condition. I run company and phone is very important. Pie update caused issue with Gmail notification because of aggressive ram management and annoying battery saving, reduced to 4 notification icon and complete brake ringer volume. I have paid almost 800 euro and right now phone is useless for me, even automatic brightness doesn't work properly like before. For you it's drama for me it's completely not acceptable. I temporary use old one iPhone 6 to make sure that I will not miss any notification and to be able change ring or alarm volume without causing a lot of noise. Sony should never downgrade system to Pie or at least customer should be warned that some convenience will stop working after update. They even remove WiFi roaming.

If you cant figure out how to adjust the ringer, stick with the ip6

Why you didn't go back to Orego if you don't like Pie.... maybe Q will have a better chance on your side? It's need only time....
It looks like, that you have as only one this issue.
Does you have try a wipe with cache, Dalvik and Data (Factory reset)?
I use also Pie on the phone (rooted), my wife on the same phone (unrooted). Each phone works without your reported issue...

Wasted time. Thanks, but I already bought proper phone - iPhone 10s and there is no risk that I will every see update to Android Pie on this device although phone has recently released safe and secure software. Google just started being evil so it's no place for their products in my home.

Just follow instructions. Do a factory reset and the phone will work properly.

IOS vs Android is a question of what you believe and what you want....
It's - from my point of view - easier and you have more freedom with Android..... If you are lucky with IOS.. why not... you must be happy with your device... If it is your choise... let it true but I'm sure that this forum will be not your favorite

I hope ringer volume to be fixed. Google ****ed it up completely this time. What a bunch of monkeys is working there? Hope sony will correct this stupidity.

How to do this using volume rocker only, hence like in every normal phone and WITHOUT causing a noise??? Please teach me master

Just updated the XPZ from 2.33 to 4.41 without any problems (from what I've seen till this moment (CE1) Only TWRP and Secd must reflashed once again

Got 4.41 3/4 days ago. Can see a slight battery save increase comparing the prev. versions.

Hi, sorry to bother you but I cannot find any precise information, how did you manage to update? I cannot figure out which files need to be deleted when use Newflasher and more importantly, which secd patch to flash after the update. (Also, is it possible to update without wiping my XZP?)
