Has this update actually been released? Has anyone actually downloaded it?
Ummm....yeah. Updated my Galaxy Watch (SM-R800) to the new version through the Wearable app and have been running it for 5 days now. See screenshot and the Sammy official release doc:
i have a 805w and no updates yet. where did you see that there was update for canadian versions? that link u posted is just a video on how to tap a button. no where is there any information on update version nor release date.Stunning how unhelpful Samsung is on chat sessions. I started by mistake with the Canada Samsung site. They were clueless as to the US version of the SM-R805U. The SM-R805W is the Canada LTE version which is in this announcement:
So I then went to the US Samsung site and did a chat session asking about the new update. I sent them the link to the Canada announcement and they couldn't open it.
US Support convinced me to reset the watch and said the UI 2.0? update would be there. I said great and please hold, so I reset my watch and no update. My understanding is that the ONE UI update for the watch is supposed to be 1.5 not 2.0 which I think is a phone version of ONE UI.
While doing the reset and restore, the support person ended my chat session. Pfft!

tell me about it.It was published on October 19th so I was under the impression it was for a new firmware update. During my chat, Samsung support did provide this link which I hadn't seen: https://news.samsung.com/us/galaxy-watch-active2-ux-offers-users-enhanced-features/
So it looks like it's coming, they just aren't being very clear about when.
It is not difficult. I've done it quite a few times without problems. The tricky part for me is to maintain connection while loading the AP BT and CSC files in NetOdin. I sometimes have to start all over again when the connection got lost (= the IP address is not showed anymore in NetOdin).Not looked into the Netodin route. But tempted except eas told by samsung store that if it goes wrong it will invalidate warranty. Is it easy? I know there is a ppt i could read (and will) just wanted opinion?
