Why do you want the update? Once you update Towelroot, Safestrap, etc most likely won't work anymore.
i dont mind the root will be here don't worried ..eventually your going to have to do it and then what..at least now i can fully flash tne note 4 rom with every thing on it ... well when i root again..:D

I don't feel like waiting 3 months for root again, so I think I'll stay put for now. There's nothing forcing me to update.
The "kernel swap" root method has been working on recent updates for other sammy devices/variants and there is a strong chance it will work for you.

1. Install towelroot.
2. Odin flash the previous firmware's kernel.
3. Root using towelroot.
4. Flash back the new kernel. Done!

Someone that is rooted and hasn't updated needs to pull the ota update file from their cache/fota folder and make the new kernel available.

I need the new OTA .zip and someone willing to test few things for me.

1. To get the root working.
2. See if new manually patched modem works.
3. See if Safestrap still works?
4. See if 4.4.4 ROM works.

Well folks I downloaded it, but it kept downloading it past 100%. WTF???

I tried copying what was downloaded from data/ftoa to my internal storage so I could move it to my laptop and upload it, but it wouldn't let me move it. WTF again???

Are you rooted? And it going over 100% is very weird.

send me a pm with the stuff you need tested walter white.
I'll post a guide with all the steps once I someone uploads the OTA .zip so that I can make the Kernel .tar and the Modem .tar.

Yes sir. I don't think root would affect the download? It would just prevent me from updating, correct? I don't have enough time tonight to Odin back to NC2 and try again.
Yeah you are right root shouldn't affect the download.

Try this.
1. Use ES File Explorer.
2. Enable root access in its menu.
3. Mount / with RW access.
4. Cut and paste the file in /data/fota to internal SD.
5. Now try to redownload the update see if they both have the same MD5
