Which version are you using ? for me camera freeze are gone with .108 updateI hope they fix the camera start freeze problem. It's really annoying.
I'm using the .108 update. But I don't know if it's because I flashed the camera mod for 4k and time shift video, the start freeze problem sometimes occurs often.<br/>Which version are you using ? for me camera freeze are gone with .108 update![]()
What could I do if I already flashed the old 4k mod? How do u tell if it's the old one?Same here. But I heard that it remained with an OTA Update, so a full reflash with wipe could fix it. Also, don't use an old 4K mod.
I've heard Riyal switched to HTC side(M7 or M8), so maybe the original 4k mod will not update again. We will all change to Chocolatetrain 's mod.Dunno if they updated it to the current version, but this one is (or was) outdated:

This one's based on firmware .108:

According to the thread, it can simply be flashed over.
the issue still exist on my phone with the .108 update, although much less frequent. plus, my phone runs stock, without any root, flash or mod.Which version are you using ? for me camera freeze are gone with .108 update![]()

yup, I also believe the z2 kernel is more optimized on camera so a simply software port won't completely bring the z2 performance to z1/z1c.Just to be clearI didn't switch to HTC. Actually I came from HTC to Sony since my previous device before Xperia Z1 Compact was the HTC M7
I'm still waiting for the 4.4.4 update of Xperia Z2. Because the cam driver of the Z1/Z1C doesn't totally match with the Current Z2 driver hence we have some minor issues.
It can be fixed by porting the Z2 Cam driver to the Z1 Cam driver thru recompiling a custom kernel but that would just complicate things more.
