on your first post you said install like a rom so I just have to follow the instruction below yeah.... i can flash windows rom but im new to android. flashing/rooting an android phone is more complex ^.^


• Unzip the file you downloaded to a directory, then open a command prompt / terminal window at that directory.
• Turn off your HTC Legend, then turn it back on with the 'back' button held down. You'll see 'FASTBOOT' written on the screen in a red box. Connect the phone to the computer.
• In the terminal window, enter either 'step1-windows.bat', './step1-mac.sh' or './step1-linux.sh' as appropriate.
• When this step has completed, REMOVE THE GOLDCARD and either format it and replace, or replace with a different (non goldcard) microSD.
• Navigate to the 'BOOTLOADER' and then 'RECOVERY' option on the menu, using the volume buttons to move and the power button to select.
• In the terminal window, enter either 'step2-windows.bat', './step2-mac.sh' or './step2-linux.sh' as appropriate.
• When this has completed, your device should be at the 'recovery' screen. Select the 'wipe' option, then select the option to apply an update zip from sdcard, and select 'rootedupdate.zip'. This will take a little while, so go make a nice cup of tea. When the flash has finished, reboot, and you are DONE!

Well not quite... that is the full root process... (This is after you HAVE rooted)
what you do is when the phone is started normal you connect it to the computer, as disc drive. Copy the zip over to the sd card. then shut the phone off.

Power it on by holding volume down and power down at the same time then you will get in to the fast boot menu again.

Give it a little time (It will try to load some things before you can navigate)

Then move to Recovery again. You will get the recovery icon on the screen.

When you have that open a terminal, and navigate in that over to the directory holding the files you used to root the phone with.

When there type (Again depending on your os)

recovery-windows.bat (for windows os)
recovery-linux.sh (for linux os)
recovery-mac.sh (For osx)

Then it will load the recover menu to the phone again and you go just like you had at the end of the rooting select the option to apply an update zip from sdcard, and select the LWP zip you put there.

ok i kinda get it now. but do i have to put the zip file into the goldcarded sd or any sd card? btw the same instruction is used for puting a costum rom on the phone right? thanks for your help =)

Any sd card will do...

Well with a custom rom they will say that you need to wipe all data first... so that is more like the last steps where you just have the custom rom on the sd card...

this works great but i cant change the lock screen wallpaper.

No you loose that function when adding the live wallpapers... just like you loose the weather animations...

just found out that you can change the lockscreen wallpaper by going to menu>settings>personalize>lock screen wallpaper

Hello,
I´ve installed this "rom" and it works fine. But I have on problem. When a call comes in, usually I have to slide down the screen to accept the call. But in mostly this doesn´t work. When I slide down the screen, nothing happens. The phone is still ringing and it`s not possible to do anything?
Someone else with this problem?

hey im running on Almost stock rooted RUU_Legend_HTC_WWE_2.03.405.3_Radio_47.39.35.09_7. 08.35.21 and everytime i try to pick widget for my home screen it is forced to close. any solution?

thanks for credit in the ops, op I worked for 2months on hero to get lwp for us and when i finally got it for hero, from jcase and zifnab, fresh asked my perm to put it in an update.zip and i had no problem with that. Everyone there thinks he did it I love my lwp and i give jcase props for the fix(I DID bring it to cdma hero, and w/o it theyd had no sticking lwp). Thanks op for doing your homework Nice work here. Seems you stay busy as me.​

I can confirm this, just tried it also - and cant add widgets without FC...... didnt work
