this tutorial works for MI5 certainly for MI5s. You have to find the correct ROM for your phone.

-Use a PC (no laptop)
-connect to USB 2.0
on windows 10 you must disable driver signed install and use windows test mode before installing the drivers.

I just bought a DFC Cable, the trick is, you hold the green+gnd (or button) for a while (like 5 seconds), and then release the button (or cable), but do not unplug the phone.

do you really flash a non official rom to power up your brand new phone??

What if it went wrong? Any warrenty at all
To open a dispute you have to wait 10 days

I didn't flash anything, because the PC would not even recognize the phone. The phone arrived dead so this was the only thing left to try. We have agreed through AliExpress to send it back for a full refund. I am now waiting for the phone to arrive and to get my money back.
