Don’t know if everyone already knows about this, apologies if they do, but a new app has just appeared for me as a phone update. It's called Xperia Privilege, and it is a Beta app that will hold special offers for Xperia phone users. At the moment you can get an ok photo editor for free for the next couple of weeks (had a quick look, not terrible for something for free, has more effects than some free ones I have seen) and for Xperia Z users specifically you can get a voucher for £20 £22 and a month free Music Unlimited.

I didn't actually get it to work properly, I actually got £22 for some reason Edit: It is £22 not £20. The free month of Music Unlimited it mentioned did not work - but this might be because I had a free trial available anyway to use (or I just read it wrong somehow, I couldn’t go back to check the details once I got it annoyingly)

In the terms it says there are a limited number of these vouchers available (per week) so it is first come first serve each week, but that could be just in case there is too much demand so they can limit it. I would still get it quick if you do want it just in case though.

I think sony should offer unlimited music and movies for free, this should sway user to sony phone. Netflix charge 8 a month, which isnt bad but their movie selection blows.

I don't think free would work too well for Sony financially, they should offer Xperia users a reduced rate if they take movies and music service together I think that would be good move.

i thought it would be more bloatware when it turned up in my update centre but it's actually kind of useful. I've added £22 to my PSN account, enough for 2 full games such as Assassin's Creed 1/2 etc, or a 90 day PS+ subscription to get maybe 12 full games free.

I did and I'm currently in China.
How about backing up your phone. Flashing UK firmware. Getting said app. Taking advantage of the. Offers and redeeming the code for PlayStation store credit. Then flashback to whatever firmware your using and restoring. Worth a try.

Why do I feel like this amounts to nothing but theft?

Lucked out, myself. Bought the missus an XZ today, so got AU$60 total ourselves.
