I hope they ban the people exploiting this from PSN. They give us £22,which is an extremely generous offer and still people have to think of ways to steal more

"Don’t have the Xperia Z?

You are missing out."

Probably the best FAQ question/answer I've ever seen.

Anyway, great app, just got my 20 quid voucher and bought two nice games for my PS3. Thanks Sony!

Why do I feel like this amounts to nothing but theft?

Lucked out, myself. Bought the missus an XZ today, so got AU$60 total ourselves.
It's not a theft, its an exploit that people use. It's not like this is the first time Sony made this mistake, they did something similar with psn+ on IGN some time ago, people were stacking 1yr memberships for whole day. And in the end, no one got banned or something like that.

Human mistake. It's objective thoughts. I really don't plan to do factory reset over and over again. A friend of mine gave me his code since he dont use PSN at all. So I'm happy with 44 pounds gift from Sony.

Justify it to yourself however you like. Sony offer and intend Z owners in certain regions to claim this once only. The bypassing of that by greedy individuals is theft, morally if not technically. Like I said before, the people exploiting this need to be banned. It would be easy for them to track the accounts/devices that multiple codes are claimed on and ban them and they should.

I'm not saying that people should abuse this, but what if you own multiple xperia z devices? I doubt it would be fair, if people got banned for using the campaign on eg. both their xperia z devices.

What the....?!?!

I'm not justifying myself, I'm just saying what other people thinks! Damn, I cant even tell my opinion now right? If i tell what I think it meant im thief?!

Please... I mean PLEASE STAHP!

I don't have time nor wish to do factory reset all over again for 22 quids. My backlog is pretty much huge already.

Using an exploit to claim something that's yours, in this case money, is a theft. Only the amount of 22 quid is yours - using any kind of exploit to take more than that, therefore the money that is not yours is a theft - whatever fancy explanation you'll try to use.

You were helping people from other regions to steal from Sony on page 2 of this thread, so I'd say that stating it isn't theft IS justifying it to yourself.
BTW, are you from a region that this offer is valid in? Just interested in how you would know that a vpn would allow those that are not to claim the offer :)

Where the child is...
Members, as this is morally wrong, due to a company mistake....trying to benefit from this, I find not right, there is a sense of exploitation being done here.

And since it has turned into a flame fess....makes this thread even more cause for closure with deletion in the future. Sure Members who does not want something for free, but in my mind why not do it/receive it the right way, not at someone or an agency's mistake....

Thread Closed & Cleaned.
