After about 18h laying around with doing nothing (watch has mobile data activated) the watch had 90% battery status, suddenly it turned off. When connection to power and starting up it showed 0% battery.

Battery calibration is completely off. I measured with the build-in battery-monitor:
~3.9V -> 0%
~4.2V -> 50%
~4.13V -> 100%

Who did this job? That's ridiculous.

Did you recalibrate your battery ? Maybe it's the part of the problem ?

Hi,
is there any other setting or xposed module which allows to show the status bar in all apps (or in all which are selected) without sliding down from top?
Sorry, I don't know so I can't answer.

What forcing method? There is none.

Extract from the link I sent you :
1. Discharge your phone fully until it turns itself off.

2. Turn it on again and let it turn itself off.

3. Plug your phone into a charger and, without turning it on, let it charge until the on-screen or LED indicator says 100 percent.

4. Unplug your charger.

5. Turn your phone on. It's likely that the battery indicator won't say 100 percent, so plug the charger back in (leave your phone on) and continue charging until it says 100 percent on-screen as well.

6. Unplug your phone and restart it. If it doesn't say 100 percent plug the charger back in until it says 100 percent on screen.

7. Repeat this cycle until it says 100 percent (or as close as you think it's going to get) when you start it up without being plugged in.

8. Now, let your battery discharge all the way down to 0 percent and let your phone turn off again.

9. Fully charge the battery one more time without interruption and you should have reset the Android system's battery percentage.

I did not do this explicitly, but after the watch was empty, I fully charged it and after that it was left on until it went out with an empty battery and I recharged it again. So I did this scenario already without any success. As my watch is rooted I also tried calibration, with no success.

Did you get your battery display to show correctly with this method?

I think this method cannot work, as the voltage measuring within the watch is totally off.

I can't tell you about the precision of the battery measuring because I only use my watch for running once a week and I turn it off after each session. If you really want to be sure about your voltage sensor, you have to unscrew your watch and use a voltmeter to check your battery at the same time. But I think you should try the calibration again using the previous method... because apparently, there is a problem with the last % of charge.

As I mentioned I already tried it several times before I posted here. And as the internal voltage measurement is totally off (50% -> 4.2V, 100% -> 4.13V) none of the calibration methods can work obviously. So I have to live with this scale:

100% -> 100% real
90% -> 0% real

95% means 50% real battery charge. Sad, but it is a cheap watch.

Sorry, I can't help you more. And you're right... We bought a cheap watch but you know, even a cheap voltage sensor does normally the job. I find this a little bit weird and I'm sure you can find a solution. And what about a hard factory reset ???

Thank you. I already did a reset when my first rooting failed. It's strange with this battery, but a friend of mine has a 150 € Elephone smartphone and he has similar issues 50% battery means in reality 0%. So I will search for a voltage-widget or a floating app to show the real battery voltage as replacement for percentage.

Hello my friend from Germany,
Unfortunately, no...
But it's not too difficult to find the files. If you have adb installed on your computer, just connect your watch with the usb cable and type this in a cmd box :

Unfortunately I was simply too busy to pursue the project right away and then my main PC had to be completely set up again and all that stuff......

AllThe%20Kings.jpg

So, does it matter where exactly I add the

Code:
rm -r /data/data/
and so on? I was thinking of putting it after

Code:
pm uninstall com.kingoroot.master >/dev/null

I am being a bit careful here, because I once hard-bricked an Amazon kindle fire tablet and don't really want to do anything like that with my watch.

RunScript.jpg

I uploaded "root.sh" onto the SCcard into the directory "mrw". What am I doing wrong?

how mutch time it takes to load the firmware

In the firmware download is a word document that shows you how to select the "scatter" file.

---------- Post added at 09:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:14 PM ----------

Watch should be OFF. If you are on a Windows PC, press download and THEN plug in the USB cable. You should hear the "hardware plugged in" sound briefly, then Flash Tool detects it and takes over. You should then see a red bar in Flash Tool. At this point press the volume key on the watch a few times and the bar changes colour and starts installing the firmware.

If, instead, you hear the "hardware unplugged" sound straight away then your drivers are not working for the loader.

it shows download firmware now but dont pass the 0% almost 15 minutes conectet!!!!

unbrick help

I have bricked Mtk6572 watch after official update but it is another model (H1) that doesn't have Volume buttons. It boots to recovery menu with "adb update" option but i can't select it as there is no Volume buttons. Usb is also not active at all. I guess i have 2 options for recovery:
1. Add volume buttons somehow. Can anyone tell me how volume buttons are wired to Mtk6572? I couldn't find them in Mtk6572 datasheet.
2. Use JTAG. I checked Mtk6572 datasheet but i couldn't find JTAG there. Did anyone find JTAG on watch?
Thank you

I solved the problem. I first flashed Castillo 100 firmware with the preloader option checked. Then I flashed the original firmware without preloader. And worked smartwatch.

I got the zgpax s8 smart watch but it is stuck in boot loop.

Does anyone know which usb drivers I need so that the pc can see it as a device?
I have been searching the internet but no success.

Thank you for your help.

    CrazyMan.Gomel Hi,
    Please if you can help me and tell me what I need to do to get this working recovery on my ZGPAX S8?
    Thanks and have a nice day,
    Arie.

    All you need is sp_flashtool and scatter file from firmware you are using now..

    Steps to get recovery installed:
    1) Run spflashtool and load scatter file from firmware.. as usual

    2) press combination Ctrl+Alt+V for entering in advanced mode..
    3a1rpog.png

    3) Go to Window -> WriteMemory (it's menu item or tab in main window)
    3a1rBEc.png

    4) Select recovery file in first field and enter your position of recovery in nand into second field
    3a1s91b.png

    P.S. position of recovery you can get from scatter file:
    3a1rQcU.png

    5) Click "WriteMemory" button, turn off your watch and connect it to your computer
    3a1siTT.png

    6) After flash proccess ends just disconnect your watch and turn it back on

    To get into recovery:
    1) Install adb on your computer and type into console:
    adb reboot recovery
    3a1sHlA.png

    OR

    2) Install Xposed and its module gravity box and activate reboot options in power menu..now you can reboot into recovery directly from power menu!

    -----------------------
    I used SPFlashTool v5.1436.00..you can download it from attachments.. I can't upload it, sorry..but you can google for it..

    Sorry, you're absolutely right! What happens is that I installed two Xposed modules: appseting and gravity box. I mistakenly believed that appsetings was the program that allowed the status bar. After reading your post I eliminated gravity box and I lost the status bar, so now there is no doubts about the program that runs the status bar.

    To activate it you have to install the module, activate it in xposed framework modules and restart the watch. Then run the program and enter in "display tweaks". In "expanded desktop mode" select "immersive status bar". Restart again and... voilà! when you move your finger on the screen the status bar appears!

    Sorry again for the mistake. Now it is 100% tested

    After several attempts I think I've solved the issue of GPS. I have read a very interesting article by XDA called "Network Location Geolocation using wlan and data from Apple or a database of phone gsm cells at /sdcard/.nogapps/cells.db" and I have decided to install the modified file "NetworkLocation-gms apk "in system / priv-app" as well as a database of 50 mb in /sdcard/.nogapps/cells.db

    This is the link:
    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1715375

    The result has been satisfactory. First, the test switch YGP adding more satellite lines. And then he has positioned seven satellites in less than a minute, just 3G connected:

    downloaded the files and will use them as soon as my watch gets here tomorrow , thanks:good:

    Finally I'm not sure those files are useful. I've removed and the GPS works the same way

    By the way i disassemble the S8 in case you want to take a look:
