Samsung say :
"We apologize for all S4 mini users but Samsung cares more the user experience of its devices and the update will affect your experience with the device"

LOL..:laugh:.If true, 95% of models produced by Samsung should not be on the market.

Always the same jokes by Samung when it comes to updates. In fact, Samsung's development team has always been bad. Probably an update would be a disaster as I have seen in so many other Samsung models.

First of all I am sure they did not start lollipop development for s4 mini.
So all the talk of "optimal experience" and "comprehensive testing" is BS.
Samsung's developers are noobs. With all those million dollar resources
they could not get lollipop working on a device with 1.5gb ram and fast
chipset. To be brutally honest F4k and arco68 are better than those fat
guys sitting at samsung. With limited resources F4k and arco68 did a great
job. We must be happy and privileged to have such great devs. :good:

This is not only with Samsung but for all the companies. I had the same experience with SONY, LG etc. So thanks to all our devs for keeping our phone alive.
All these clarifications by Samsung regarding optimal experience is a pure **llsh**.
When Android ONE hardwares can run lollipop there is no reason why these devices can't.
There should be an uniformity regarding giving updates as provided by Google for android ONE phones - support for two years.
I love Apple on this respect. Minimum three updates and the rumour for this year is iPhone 4s will get ios9 meaning thereby four continuous updates. Appreciable.
If one needs updates for android devices for a longer period of time, it's better to go for Nexus devices by Google, though single SIM but worth the investment.
Google should do something for this wide fragmentation in Android devices regardless their age and hardware. The companies should be somehow tied to commit a minimum support period for OS updates while buying.
Thanks
