Like i said in other post if people dont tell if they use chinese or indian version that confusing ... When i see 1.17 oh ok a new OTA for mine chinese version and finaly no update ... Would be great if everybody tell which version they use.

As for whatsapp without uninstalling i manager working like a charm and got notification on time.
All other app works fine too like Viber, gmail, outlook.
I give all permission to whatsapp and turn on background activity and auto start app and notification everything put to on + went battery menu and put whatsapp to high background power consuption to on.
That was the solution to me and no needed to unintall imanager.
Nevertheless can you give us screenshot from smart motion menu and smart wake to see what app indian version support compared to chinese??

Today i found out that the Hong Kong model is also global. It looks the same like my Indian model, only the charger is different. Gearbest sells the Hong Kong model like in the video.

You cannot call a phone a global version if it's not available globally (basically it's available only in Asia)
As I can the the Indian version as well Russian are ridiculous overpriced.
My Chinese 8/256 cost me 650 euro I’m not gone pay 650+for 8/128 or over 750-800 for 8/256 for just a global rom.
Sooner or later I imagine anyone want global rom would be possible flashing over Chinese version.

Indian, Russian, Hong Kong are all the same model. The software is for global users. The Chinese software is very different. I know because i have the Chinese and Indian model.

Just received my Nex S (Chinese model). I have noticed that while it's charging, the charging logo and battery % is always on, whereas always on notification/clock is turned off. It's not possible to hide this charging logo? i'm a bit afraid about burn in
To sum up my first day with the Vivo Nex:
- Issue that i described on top (potential burn in overtime)
- Screen is over saturated, worst display I have ever had in any smartphone (coming from a Mi Mix 2 and a OP6)
- Notification issue, by default, every app you install, notifications of those app are blocked, you need to enable notification for every new apps...)
- Can't enable developper settings, or you will have a permanent yellow statut bar
- No bluetooth LDAC support... (whereas it was implemented since Oreo 8.0)
Vivo developpers are seriously retarded, by far the worst software i have ever experienced

Quick question, the clock and weather widget that comes with vivo always shows dual zone. I have not been able to change that. Am I missing something?

Yeah well, the Indian version doesn't have the issues you are mentioning. At least majority of them like notifications, screen is quite good actually...
I understand having subpart software experience might be somewhat frustrating, but calling Vivo developers retarded is a bit over the top do the you think? Hey, there is pretty simple solution for you sir, sell the phone, buy OP6 and enjoy life.

Indian version shows red notification bar if developer option is ON.
I wanted to speed up transitions and window animations , but cannot resist the red notification bar . Any idea how to enable developer option without that red notification bar??
