Nexus 4 stuck on battery icon

I flashed an incomplete downloaded kernel onto the rom
and it wasnt booting after the nexus logo
so i haed reboot it thriough vol down+power
and got it to shutdown
but usually it reboots from there so i can get into bootloader and then recovery
but i attached charger at that time as it wasnt rebooting and therefore it showed charging sign
and its stuck over there

i dont know what to do..
should i wait so that it discharges?
or is it bricked?
