Hello, so I found a thread from back in december on this topic and I have not been able to resolve it using any
methods recommended in that thread, which is located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nex...s-make-calls-data-t3270877/page3#post66004179
So I'm hoping by showing some comments I left their recently, on a new thread with the MHC19I build, that someone will be able to point me in the right direction.
I'm pretty noobish when it comes to jargon and perhaps "technical" procedures to get my phone back in working order, so a detailed list and step-by-step guide is always the best for me. Thanks a TON for looking into it!
I have efs1.emmc.win and efs1.emmc.win.md5
Exact same with efs2.

I have efs1 and efs2 both as an md5 and another version?
I don't know which one to use.
I tried the field test mode and I do see that "GSM Service: Emergency Calls Only" and I tried switching to all bands available to me... but I dont have band 6 as an option.
If you could link me to a way to literally do a factory reset and how I can lock the bootloader and go back and start over from stock I would gladly try.
Thanks for any help, this problem has vexed me for a week now.

As for me: Yes I get an IMEI when I go look in settings. I have an EFS backup but I don't really know which one to use?Quote:

ALWAYS back up your EFS before you install something else or root your phone — and keep it in a safe location! Alas, that was not the case for me.[*]Try the field test mode (*#*#4636#*#*) in the phone application. Go to "phone info".
If you see "GSM service: emergency calls only" on Verizon, the GSM band is not connected which makes phone calls. Switch to Band 6.
Otherwise, if you see the same thing for GPRS, try switching to another band. I'm not familiar with carriers except Verizon or other US carriers (AT&T, T-mobile, etc.)[*]I've emphasized this a lot, but try a factory reset. Lock the bootloader and remove your custom mods to the system. It may just work for you.[/LIST]
