The Nabi 2 had tegra 3 with 12 core gpu

yes is built for kids but thats just software. as for durability it can be dropped from over 7 ft and not be damaged (youtube videos showing it)

pros
+very durable
+clocked at 1.3GHz stock
+2MP camera vs nexus 7 1.3MP
+microSD supports up to 32GB (possibly microSDXC 64GB but not confirmed)
+miniHDMI out
+does have root with fully working market and gapps
+bluetooth 3.0
+OTG compatible

+PRICE

cons
-no internal gps
-screen resolution 1024x600 but at 120dpi barely noticable
-no custom roms or kernel yet
-1.3lbs vs 0.75lbs of nexus 7
-battery life is about 6 hrs compared to nexus 7 rated 9.5

best buy keeps changing the price right now... was $129. Then earlier today changed to $169, now its $199. so it keeps moving around... i ordered 3 of them after i bought my first from walmart at 129 during black friday and rooted it and was very impressed with its performance.

i was so heartbent on getting a nexus 7 and was just waiting for 32GB to break $200 barrier but then this tablet popped up and now i forgot about the nexus 7 :)

maybe cyber monday will bring good deals?

Good luck getting timely updates with that, or any decent development at that. Most tablets have a very small or non existent scene except for the Asus Transformer and Nexus as far as I can tell.

If they keep putting this thing on sale for $130usd(Walmart Black Friday, Best Buy sale, Woot, etc) then there will be a lot of them out there. It's hands down the best value for a capable 7inch tablet.

Already have a custom recovery, root, so we will see how it goes from here, so far the kids and myself have been enjoying it quite a bit.

I purchased 2 of these for my kids and played with both of them for 2 hours a piece setting them up. They are pretty awesome. Plus they have hdmi out, micro sd slot , and I believe usb but I could be wrong on the last one. I now am looking at 7"tablets nexus 7 32gb now after playing with thier tablets. I would like a better screen and jellybean than what's on the nabi 2.

You should definitely pick up the Nexus 7 tablet. Just remember to pick up a case to help keep it protected. I'm having a hard time putting my Nexus 7 down.

If your kids are young keep them away from the Nexus 7. They seem to be a little more fragile than other tablets.

I don't understand this post. There are lots and lots of poorly supported Chinese 7 inch tablets for less money than the n7, and some of them are quite good, but what you don't get with any of them is a broad user community and google support. The n7 has one huge flaw (no msd card slot), but is otherwise a great tablet with a huge user community and regular google updates. You really can't compare it to the Chinese tablets.
