Sorry im a android noob. So if I buy that and OTG cabel its plug and play? No settings need to be done
I don't know, you hvae to figure out yourself will it works or not.
probably it will, but I'm not sure will it supported by the kernel or not
and how it will cooperate with a ROM

but this is only one solution, without modding of your tablet

I have mounted a nexus in my dash pics here but my gps singnal is bad because the nexus is so deep in the dash. Do you have any ideas to make the singnal stronger for the nexus. Thanx

Nice installs from you to!:)
I haven't had an issue locking on GPS fairly quickly with mine. Are you connected to a Wi-Fi or 3G signal? That certainly helps. Maybe try the app called "GPS Status & Toolbox" to see what's going on with your signal

Have you had the back off? I had the same problem and it ended up being the little spring clips that connect the GPS circuit to the antenna embedded in the back cover. I had the back off and it stopped working after that. I took the cover back off and bent the little spring clip contacts up a little and this fixed the problem. Mine is buried deep too but it works perfect now.

You could take the GPS antenna off the back of the case and mount it where it will get a signal and use shielded cable to reconnect it.

Yes I had the back off and took it away again and bent the clips but still the navigator shows wrong road:) not good to navigate with. I think I have to move the antenna from the backcover:rolleyes:

Edit. What cabel should I use between the nexus motherboard and the antenna?

Today I will take the nexus out off the car and try to move the gps. At the same time I would like to change so that if the battery runs out the tablet will auto boot when connected to charger. I have been looking step by step guide but cant find, so could anyone write a step by step guide to change: fastboot oem off-mode-charge 1 to fastboot oem off-mode-charge 0? Im noob in android:eek:

Do you run Kangaroo-kernel? Then use PowerEventMgr app to set fast-charge, fixed install mode, firm sleep etc..

Well, if you want it to sleep and wake-up based on power status, and you want to run anything newer than 4.3, you need to run the Kangaroo-kernel. It's called Fixed Install Mode.

I have tasker to wake, sleep, airplane mode on/off and wifi on/off

Edit. Do you recommend Kangaroo-kernel and what rom then? works with CM11?

You need this: http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/

In advanced utilities is a place to run fastboot commands.

Actually, there is a Kangaroo ROM now which is 4.4.2 based on Purity ROM. It has the power event manager, otg charging, etc built into it.

Ok, I think I'll try the Kangaroo ROM you mentionned, the one I was talking about is not completly stable (it happens from time to time that the n7 freeze completly, and reboot few seconds after that...)
