This is my second trial on Tegra CPU. First one was with HTC devices and it needed a stock kernel to fix some issues with touch and nandroid backups

After testing, please report with precision the issue you have. The more details you give, the better
Also, provide a log when you encounter the issue:
Advanced / report error

Then attach the philz_recovery.log here

Download is only for 3g nexus. Do you have also one for non 3g (grouper)?

If they differ only by 3G, no need to a specific build until we debug it a bit if needed
I see from specs that they share same hardware, so it will work

Only some ROMs with assert command forcing a non 3G version will fail. But, if people report this build working (boots and touch being precise), then I will build for grouper

I tried it but I had a problem. I flashed the recovery image on recovery partition but then when I booted to recovery it boots to twrp and when I reboot from recovery it boots to your recovery.

Maybe you have a custom kernel with a twrp image bundled in it
You did not answer the most important though. When you booted inside my recovery, touch was fine? If it boots and touch is ok, I will remove warnings

Just reporting that it works fine on grouper also. I flashed it via flash image GUI on the device then rebooted to recovery no problem.

Does wipe data/factory reset wipe /data/media also or is it setup like twrp where it leaves it so you can still install from your internal sdcard?

Just tested the installer and it does get the status 7 error.

I appreciate the feedback

Wipe data/factory reset keeps sdcard
Under Mounts and Storage: you can either format /data only (rm -rf keeping sdcard), sdcard only (rm -rf /data/media or /data/media/0 depending on how you set it up in Advanced menus) or both of them (true format command on /data partition)

About error 7: I will repack one for the grouper

Thanks for coming up with this so fast. I remembered very clearly it was just yesterday that I requested. :good:

1. I've installed on my tilapia, and noticed the following message, not sure if it is of any concerns "E:Unable to create brightness sys file!".

2. Font size is good (Note 2 LTE font size is rather small). {Edit: I think this is not relevant. From the main thread, I could see screenshots showing the ability to chang Menu Height}

3. Had successfully done a nandroid.

4. Flashed OneAroma7oBind7hem from mrRobinson to have inverted gapps :good:

5. Successfully flashed the latest PA 3.5.

Thank you.

Can any one run this in adb shell while in recovery
Or you can use the console terminal in aroma file manager while in recovery
Code:
 find /sys/. -name '*bright*' >/sdcard/brightness.txt
And attach the resulting brightness.txt file on sdcard

@OP
i think proper label is needed+proper instruction for flashing for beginners

It is not a beginners forum

But, if you read OP,
Main thread + features + install instructions + dev support
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2201860

and follow the link, and read all posts in page 1, I doubt many recovery devs offer such a detailed info, features list, detailed guide and detailed change logs

Let me know if it is missing something!

Note: imagine if I have to update each specific device thread with all the info from main thread. I'd be spending more time in editing posts than coding

Flashing recoveries is different for each device, except when there is a zip to flash in an existing custom recovery. I won't detail a guide for all methods obviously
I can mention that odin method is only for Samsung though

Is there these s-off things with Nexus 7?
If not, I will provide a zip too, else it is useless for most

When I tested the tilapia version on my grouper I used an app called "flash image GUI" to flash the IMG file. I've used it numerous times for different recoveries on the n7.
