Gps is just fine. Seems like I get a lock very fast. In fact I get a lock with this thing inside my garage. Lol can't say as much for my transformer prime.

I would setup a new launcher. That stock one looks nasty in landscape. Try Apex in tablet mode.

Nice setup though. I've been thinking of doing something like this in my car but what do you do for data? Is that the 3G N7? Or do you just play local MP3s?

I wonder if there is someway to have a Bluetooth Controlled FM module or something that can pipe FM and control the tuning on the N7.

Thanks. I'm kinda with ya on the stock launcher. I bought nova launcher when it was super cheap. I might put that on there or try apex.

Data is tethered to my phone.

You heard of roadrunner? its a program used for carputers, wondering of someone made something similar
Tasker is really doing a great job and has a lot of great features. Can't say enough good things about it.

Nice install. I'm getting a Nexus 7 shortly and this is tempting me lots.....

Currently I have a HTC HD2 in the air vent of mt BMW paired to a JVC X50-BT :)..... So the nexus is the next logical step.

I used a old car mount and glued my N7 to it and mounted it right next to my stereo. Its easy to reach and adjustable so a passenger can use it as well
I have a spare back to swap out when I want to use my N7
Here's a pic

Help?!

This is the HU and setup I settled on a few months ago. Works very well. I would highly recommend this HU.

I have the x80BT and am having a tough time getting my Nexus 7 to automatically connect.

Did you do anything special? As far as I can tell from my googling - Nexus 7 does not emulate a phone's BT profile so the JVC autoconnect feature will not pick it up.

Any help you can provide will save a large amount of time returning my new deck. :(
