I am using purity rom 4.4.2 with faux kernel v25 and otg charging works with a y cable....just make sure that the connector does not come loose, I happened to catch mine it somehow caused a short and now the charging does not work but the usb otg still does.

Guys can someone please link me to a cable that works?

All the ones I can find have a note in the description saying that they don't charge.
I'm assuming this is because they cannot tell people they need a different ROM, but I dont want to waste money obviously.

I'm in the UK BTW.

Guys I'd love to get this ordered today. Can anyone link me to a confirmed OTG Y cable that can charge the nexus 7 ( with compatible kernel ) and be able to use a USB DAC, thanks.

Nexus 7 2013 OTG and charging at the same time

I have a Nexus 7 2013 rooted, default kernel, and I wanted to charge and use the mouse and keyboard - and other stuff - all at the same time.

I've tried a lot of things, ****ed up my Nexus a few times, and then the great discovery: I use a multi-reader and lots of stuff plugged into a usb-hub and the Nexus just charges.

I use it as my computer. The thing is, it does not say its charging, but just charges.
Then you just plug a wireless Miracast and you have a full computer.

Soon I will post exactly the equipment I'm using.

Otg error

Hi, my n7 got stucked in the otg mode (is installed in a car) so i dont want to reopen everything -.-' is there a way to kick it out of it without removing the cable? (By modifying a sytem file in twrp?)
Would be really great, cause i cant boot it because it provides power at the time its loading up and dont charges the battery.. ^^
Kinda death circle :D

Thank you for all your help =)
