Nexus 7 worsening WiFi problem

Hi all,

My N7's wifi has gone crazy. It intermittently drops, and doesn't always reconnect. I either have to manually turn the WiFi off then on again, and sometimes even that doesn't even work. Sometimes I will have to reboot the tablet for it to connect again. Wifi in my house is strong, a router on each floor, and it happened just now, like literally 3 feet from the router. So it's not a signal issue. I have tried booting the tablet up in safe mode, to see if there was some kind of conflict, but it happened again in safe mode as well.

Stock MM 6.0.1, unlocked - rooted

Hello, the signal may be strong, but disruptive RF interference might also be strong there. First, please check if other wifi devices work fine with the router. Next, get one of the "Wifi Analyzer" apps and observe RF amplitude levels on your N7. If you see correlation of connectivity loss and measured RF signal, then disassemble your N7, clean and re-seat wifi antenna contacts (attached).

Thank you for the reply. I had read MM 6.01 has wifi issues, so I just loaded click and the wifi is working beautiful now. Not one drop. And yes other devices work fine with the router. I like the idea of cleaning the antenna contacts, i will do that thank you! Still have no real explanation, as to what the problem is.

I like Nougat, but want to be able to use Xposed, so for the time being, I want to go back to MM.

Update:

Okay, I opened up my N7, and cleaned the WiFi antenna contacts. Haven't really noticed any difference. Wifi still works without a problem on Nougat , but wifi will drop off and on intermittently when I load MM 6.0.1 back on. With the tablet exhibiting the problem in safe mode as well, I'm starting to think it's MM, not any add-ons I have???
