My biggest complaint with the nexus one is that it doesn't have enough ROM. Many of the high end phones that came out after it are definitely better, especially if you tweak them to get rid of the garbage that manufacturer's and carriers put on them.
i agree. n1 is great but alot of phones after it were a lot better.

I love my N1...

I am was thinking about to buy a new phone month ago but since I know ICS will be available with several different roms it makes no sense for me...

The new phones may be better, but especially the sreen size is too big for me...

Was just about to get it replaced with Galaxy Nexus but gave a try to Medroid and texasice rom's for ICS. Now I'm liking it more and now flashing roms like everyday.

Nexus One is rock stable!

Yeah it's still an awesome phone, I have a galaxy nexus right now and I still love getting on my nexus one. To me it can still compete with any of the phones out today.

I have had my nexus one for over 2 years been rooted for 1 and half years and it makes me laugh when I see people showing off their new unrooted phones as they still aren't as smooth and fast not to mention crazy good battery life of a rooted nexus one makes other new unrooted phones pale in comparison still to this day. I am holding out for the htc edge although the large screen of the htc edge does scare me but eh its time to upgrade nonetheless :)

I have enjoyed my Nexus One but I''ll be getting either the HTC One X or S as soon as I can. If money is not the issue then definitely get the latest ware because the internal memory size for the N1 is just not enough.

for $252 you can get the captivate http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Capti...nlocked/dp/tech-data/B004B9QNJS/ref=de_a_smtd
for $398 you can get the dual core motorola atrix with a finger print scanner as your on off button http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Atri..._1_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1331323175&sr=1-2
The nexus one seems to be priced at about 300 dollars both these option would be better in my opinion. I have a nexus one and a at&t galaxy s2. The nexus one has enough performance to be smooth for me in daily use. I love the phone just don't like that my power button is broke :(

I love mine - but I am sick and tired of the touch screen problems, bad speaker sound, T-Mobile 3G issues, and having to constantly fret over memory limits. And now that the power button died its even more of a frustration.
I have been looking at new phones, and I lament lack of a trackball, multi-color LED (in many phones), and the solid build quality of N1, but I feel like i have no choice. Actually I am at crossroads now - deciding to either get another N1 (which can be had pretty cheap) or go with some of newer offerings (currently eyeing the Razr).

Nexus One is still awesome phone! It's technical specification is still better than some present smartphones. Moreover it's great phone for development and really hard to get brick...

I wuld not buy it again. NEVER. It is slow. Very slow. Slow like a bloody dinosaur. A ****ty graphics card. Horrible touchscreem that has a mind of its own. And the 0.000196 mb of storage. Of wich 36mb is already stolen by the system. Even a flip-phone is faster than this.

I would probably buy it again 2 years ago, when it was out before Desire, and nothing else was close (well, the original Droid, but it was CDMA, and Milestone was later and problematic with bootloader).

I wouldn't buy it pretty much since Desire was out.

I definitely wouldn't buy it today.

The only reason i would buy it is because i love it. It is part of my heart right now.
