You can laugh your ****ing ass off as much as you want. The usage of the term "more and more" already indicate that it is not only this single one feature but quite a bunch of them.
The pink screen, the new media controls inside the aod, the missing night mode, the absoutely terrible fp scanner placement (as a left hand user with size 14 hands its almost impossible to use) and quite some other things. I know, some people won´t understand these simple things and will accept anything being shoved down their throat, I will not.
The last decent Note was the 7, which, sadly did explode.
Thanks for you input....

I had a live online chat with a Samsung rep who confirmed the feature was removed in Nougat. No explanation as to why. They noted my request to have it reinstated and said it would be passed onto the relevant team(s).

I suppose it could be possible for a Tasker job to switch between your usual AOD content and Edge clock every day, as a work around.

I just noticed this aswell. I wonder which moron at Samsung thought its a good idea to cancel this feature. My note 8 buy feels more and more like a mistake....
Night mode was imperative for me as I have a very light sleep and this did not interfere with my sleep cycles but I was still able to see the time if I glanced at it.

Now its either on or off.....what a terrible decision
If you glanced at it then you weren't sleeping, i.e. your sleep cycle had been interrupted. So it doesn't really follow as justification for having a sufficiently dimmed clock by your bedside.

BTW, "aswell" isn't a word. ;)

Florida unfortunately.

Indeed should have wrote "asswell" [emoji2]

I think one of my previous Samsung's also had some sort of night edge clock display. I'm assuming this is also not available on the N8? It was nice as one could configure when it would come on , example turns on at 10.30pm and turns off at 7am...

You can configure the N8 edge display to come on whenever you want.
