I had exactly the same issue! Was very frustrating and I end up having to wipe everything and start again, losing all my data... (I reverted to 20210503 posted above.I'm on OrangeFox Recovery Version R11.O_5 and latest update bootloops for me.
OFox says the reported problem is:
Anyone else encounter that problem? Did you find a fix?
Also, can I just downgrade ArrowOS? Or might this cause problems?
Lol they deleted It, i downloaded It yesterday. If u quote me tomorrow i can send u the file.
Can someone please provide a download link for
So after having had that mentioned several times by several different users, I think we can consider it CONFIRMED that there is currently no recovery that can deal with A11 + OSS vendor decryption.
So... download from EU serverThe arrowOS downloaded from Europe mirror is fine with google protect certificated..... But, the other mirrors do'nt....... So, the next OTA update will download from the same mirror? and google certificated will be passed? sad
I decided to go for the new version, but it was still a super frustrating experience. 12.05. didn't have any big warning signs that it requires you to factory reset and I wasn't prepared for that in the middle of the night. Just thought it was a quick update before bed. Instead I spent 2 1/2 hrs looking for a fix and another few hrs setting everything back up today, after a complete wipe. Idk why ROM breaking updates like this are just pushed willy nilly through the updater.I had exactly the same issue! Guys,I followed this but I'm still stuck at the boot animation. I installed vanilla + flame gapps basic.
I already flashed that but still had same issue, tried all oss vendor roms this issue is there when I toggle wifi/mobile data and this happened once a day in other roms but in arrow it didn't allowed me to do intial setup
Try flashing the stock rom and then following these instructions.I already flashed that but still had same issue, tried all oss vendor roms this issue is there when I toggle wifi/mobile data and this happened once a day in other roms but in arrow it didn't allowed me to do intial setup
HI Can you explain step by Step the instructions to install this ROM pleaseI decided to go for the new version, but it was still a super frustrating experience. 12.05. didn't have any big warning signs that it requires you to factory reset and I wasn't prepared for that in the middle of the night. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into developing these ROMs, but the communication is seriously lacking.
1. Yes, I did it via recovery many times, change the recovery from inside the recovery1st >> the img file of twrp that is available on the main post, can that be flashed using orangefox recovery?
2ndl >> does this twrp recovery makes it easy for OTA update without losing data?
I'm yet in the process of figuring it out. I'm completely caught off-guard by this weird issue all of a sudden as there has been literally no changes been made to the device sources nor the rom source so at this point i'm not sure what's even causing it. I've also decompiled the twrp and went through its contents but everything looks fine and dandy in there.Ganesh, since you're here, any information on the TWRP encryption issue after the June 9 build?
Like i said the Arrow recovery is only intended for OTA updates with no extra features. You won't be able to access internal data as its posed as a security risk.
I have answered and added a few FAQ's to the original post. Those who are still having difficulties switching to OSS builds have to check them out.I just installed this ROM, but my wifi does not work. Any suggestions?
Fixed in version twrp-3.5.2_10-4-suryaI'm getting the error:
assert failed: update_dynamic_partitions(package_extract_file("dynamic_partitions_op_list"))
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file
Please can someone help! Tried formatting data multiple times
Wtf are talking about, who said I was on MIUI vendor, I was very clear in my post that I was on the first OSS version before updating to latest ArrowOS.Neither morals nor stories, i have installed all OTA updates automatically through recovery, except when the developer decided to migrate to OSS Vendor. The installation problems or errors are not due to recovery. They are the fault of users who do not read the recommendations. The migration process has already been discussed for several pages. I don't understand why there are still users stupid to upgrade from a MIUI provider build to the new OSS provider build, simply wanting to update the recovery .zip, when this would mean data loss without having made a copy of security, and then they come here with their irony to complain or cry that they have lost their information
have a look hereSo no need to specifically format the data partition? Thanks a bunch!

To everyone, please STOP this misconception about having the need to flash magisk in order to pass safety net. Do read the OP I've clearly mentioned there's no need of a magisk or modules for safety net. Device is certified and passes safety net out of the box without need of any modifications.Mission Impossible in all custom ROMs !
1. Safetynet check the bootloader status and will automatically fail if magisk is not installed (Magisk Hide ON must be applied for this) !
2. Furthermore, now you have to install the safetynet-fix module to make your banking apps working !
3. Finally, you must hide Magisk Manager.apk with a random name too (Magisk Settings)
I'm aware of the notification led issue, its interlinked to an sepolicy denial from vendor which is quite tricky to address it while we're using the prebuilt/stock vendor. For now you can assume it as a trade off for enforcing builds. I'm working on a fix, once we start a full transition towards an OSS vendor these issues will be more convenient to be addressed.Even dev says in dec the 3rd changelog that notification led was implemented, it still doesn't work for me
