This is an urban legend, it sticks down temporarily but it pops back up the next day. How do I know? I tried it.
Don't have the Nilkin one but sharing my experience with the official oneplus tgsp (and other curved screen phone tgsp's). Had a small halo which has not returned in over a week after using olive oil and a q tip. Worked on my previous s9 plus and v30 as well.

To be honest, if you're having to rub oil under your screen protector so it works, it's probably not worth keeping it.

too late, especially when they come from china, i ain't got time to wear my phone naked with no protection on it's screen while i wait for another failing screen protector, it's no big deal for me to get the edges to adhere with a lil bit of wd 40

BTW y'all, four days later and my screen is fully adhered using the wd40 method.

official TGSP is a real trash accessory with retarded black line and high price.
sold it without even trying it, I do not know why I even bought it in the first place.
That is a shame on oneplus that they cannot make good accessories, their cases are total waste as well. Even their charger is a garbage that cannot deliver full Amperes via third party cable which is capable to hold that power. Or maybe it relates to the the software issue.

I exclusively use Nillkin and have one as I type now on my OP6. Sadly I'm not as thrilled as I usually am with the Pro. Its not terrible but the edge won't sit flat or at least uniform, lifting in spits. Good news it I have a few of the CP full cover units on the eay. I use the on my wife's IP X.. fingerd crossed

Managed to stick Nillkin H+ Pro with perfect alignment, including the edges. I would say this needs "micrometer" precision to align it properly.

One tip to do this is turn on your screen, open an app with white background that extends full screen including the notch (ie. calculator app). The white background makes it easier for you to see the screen edges. Align your glass and let it fall into place. No pressure required. Remove any bubbles accordingly.

Lmao you questions are worthless this person doesn't even have this screen protector yet and they are recommending only based off brand name.
Sort of.
Nillkin (my fave brand protector, by FAR, the 0.26 helps a TON, with any curvature), seems to have "adopted" this model.
My old 950XL Nillkin protector was a true edge-to-edge (fully flat screen though) protector, the last one of theirs I've seen like that.
My 6P Nillkin was close, but irritating, because the case edges would eventually peel them, if they'd just gone to the edge it would've worked, fine.
On my wife's OP5T, the edges are "trimmed back" quite a bit, a "seemingly obvious attempt" to avoid the "case peeling" issue.
On my OP6, it's similar, although they "went back" to a model more like the 6P. I guess we'll see if it peels, usually in a couple of weeks.

You definitely see a "trend" by Nillkin though, although my "representative set" of models/types is obviously small.

I REALLY wish we could just go back to flat (and 4K) screens on all high-end stuff, my 950XL and 6P still have had the best screens I've ever used...
The curve thing is useless, to me, I just put a case on it, so I don't drop the darn thing (curved edges add to the "slippery factor", IMHO), the benefit, perceived or otherwise, is lost one me (and I'm VERY picky about my screens, way back to nice 20" CRTs ;-0).

has anyone tried the CP+MAX? is it full adhesive? does it have any parts of the screen at the edge being cutout or block by the protector? that's the only concern I'm thinking. I currently have the H+ PRO but cracked already lol

Yes, the Nillkin H+ Pro cracks very easily. The first one I had cracked within 2 weeks. Just received the replacement, pasted with halo effects.

I tried bending the cracked one, just broke into 2 immediately without much strength needed. Will definitely not recommend Nillkin H+ Pro.

I highly don't recommend Nillkin H+ Pro! I can confirm others opinion about this glass. Its garbage. Halo effect on all 4 sides. When I was trying remove air glass cracked at the bottom.

When I was send pictues to Nillkin and I asked for replacement for another model because this on its shi**t they said me that this is my fault .
