The 5g variant is single sim only
@chacho_2me

Not sure if this is of any use?

O2's 5G network is live in Aberdeen, Ashford, Banstead, Basildon, Belfast, Birmingham, Bradford, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Chatham, Chesterfield, Coventry, Dartford, Derby, Dundee, Eastbourne, Edinburgh, Esher, Gateshead, Gillingham, Glasgow, Grays, Hemel Hempstead, Huddersfield, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Lisburn, Liverpool, London, Lowestoft, Luton, Manchester, Mansfield, Middlesbrough, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Newtownabbey, North Shields, Northampton, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, Peterborough, Plymouth, Rainham, Redhill, Rotherham, Sheffield, Slough, South Shields, Stoke-on-Trent, Sunbury, Sunderland, Thundersley, Warrington, Weybridge, Windsor, Worthing and York.

The O2 Arena in London and Twickenham Stadium also have O2's 5G coverage. There are still more places for O2 to turn on 5G though.The company has confirmed previously it plans to cover other locations, including Milton Keynes, in the future.

Also note that although 5G officially arrived in the UK at the end of May 2019 – through EE and Vodafone initially offering 5G plans - all the four major networks now offer 5G in selected areas although coverage is also not widespread just yet.

Hi there

I am also facing the same issue. My was bought from Amazon Italy. It is from TIM IT and it is not locked by the operator. I am in Finland and I also have a 5G subscription plan.
I have tested my phone with an EE and 3 UK sim card I could see the 5G and Wifi calling options with those sim cards.
I also had some kind of same problems with my previous phone: Realme X2 Pro , this phone doesn't support VoLTE and Wifi calling with my mobile phone operator. I can't find the toggle to switch on the VoLTE and the Wifi calling. I switched my sim card to an OnePlus 7T to test and both worked .

I hope it helps.

Technically, no you won't.

Your best option is to contact your network and ask.

I mean...why pay for a 5G tariff when you don't even get it?

Two outcomes I can think of here...

1. Network provider does not cover your area yet and is scheduled to do so at some point in the future - ask for a refund if it applies because you are not getting the service you requested and currently pay for.

2. The device is at fault. Speak to Oppo as they are best placed for advice for this issue.

Let us know whatever you can find out. I'm sure many other members are frustrated with this.

I know this is an older thread, but I'm having the same issue on my Oppo Reno 5G running Optus-loaded software in Australia. No 5G NR option in Preferred Network or in the RadioInfo advanced settings (*#*#4636#*#*). Have spoken to Vodafone AU and 5G is active on my accounts as it should be for all customers. Vodafone AU 5G here is very limited in availability so I may need to go to the tower to test if I need a signal to change the setting? Definitely 3500MHz (78) too.
