Yes, why not? I'm already using it. But you have to first unlock your bootloader, root it and flash the ROM.http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...most-out-of-the-oven-and-it-smells-fantastic/
Is it possible to use that on the xperia z?

this has been discussed before.....it is the soft keys..It looks like Sony has used a 1080x1776 display resolution in the Z rather than the original 1920x1080!
Some apps I used, showed the system specs as mentioned above, but I discarded it hoping that there was some error in their calculations. But even Vellamo benchmark shows the same as 1776. Is it true Sony that the device is not totally 1080p or what?
Or maybe, the rest of pixels was devoted to the soft buttons and the apps doesn't count it?
Very confusing on this part! Guys if you do know something about this, then please do share!

Using it will increase the pixels right?Yes, why not? I'm already using it. But you have to first unlock your bootloader, root it and flash the ROM.
Cheers.

Right, but your post was essentially titled as if Sony was being misleading in their spec.Even it is, but very ridiculous considering they take up that much pixels for a button!

Could you lead me to the post for installing PIE?Right, but your post was essentially titled as if Sony was being misleading in their spec.
Add this to your build.prop and enjoy the full 1080x1920...

You should install something like Button Savior or LMT Launcher as your soft buttons will go bye bye by doing this. I use the PIE option, so my screen looks like this....

No bars and I have PIE activated through the bottom (see screenshot)....

:good::good::good::good::good:Yes, you are correct.
Man as many already wrote it is because of the softbar buttons, and as you may have experienced it fades away while watching movies and such, but if you still want full screen all the time there is a mod that removes them and you are able to replace them with example LMT launcherIt looks like Sony has used a 1080x1776 display resolution in the Z rather than the original 1920x1080!
