Hello,

I recently got P10 Plus VKY-L29: 4/64.
It got update to 8.0 version.

At the first time I tried using WAZE, there was no signal at the start, than I got signal untill end of the drive.

Now I don't have any GPS signal whenever i try.
I Tried WAZE/google MAPS and also some "gps fix" apps from the store.

Can someone has idea?
Thanks

Hi guys,

I made a video. Even I do hard reset and stuff it does the same.
From my understanding the GPS antenna is working right?
But I think it's software. It can't fix to any satellite.

Was the GPS working before you upgraded to Android 8?

Hey,
In mine i cannot get any satellite connection. I've been able to downgrade back to android 7 (Factory) by using Hisuit from the computer.
However, no luck, i think its an hardware issue or problem with the antenna. Sometimes my gps is able to lock after half an hour of driving, but usually not.

Any Fix??

There is no solution I think. I tried lieterally all software mods and tweaks you can imagine. It is HW problem and I bet that gerabest knew about it during selling.

Yes, i have got full refund, including postage.

Guys we should unite against gearbest and do something, this is extremely annoying. Anybody got a full refund on the device or something?

Hi guys,
I had the same problem on a P10, No GPS, no satellites, tried all kinds of GPS repair apps, no luck, I ended up opening the phone and started to look around with magnifying glasses and noticed that there was a few metal components that were contacting some copper plates on the back of the phone. So I decided to clean them all with rubbing alcohol and q-tips, and guess what, GPS is working again !! Its been 5 minutes as I'm writing this , but hey, Its woth the try !
Good luck guys !

Guys, I have found a way to "solve" the GPS problem.
No guarantee that this would work for you.

Here is what I did:

1. keep the phone ON, and eject the sim card try and take out your sim card, put the sim try back in (i still had my sd card in there)
2. turn off the phone (not restart)
3. turn on the phone ( I had my wifi, and location service on )
4. check gps apps and satellite start showing up.
5. eject sim card tray again and put the sim card back in, insert the sim card tray back in.
6. carrier info showed up and gps/satellite info still there in apps. :good::good:

I just found this and will continue observing.

Good luck
