NE2213 ? NE2215 ?
NE2213 ? NE2215 ?
If it's for this thread which it should be then it'll be 2213.
Yes it's for 2213
More than likely the adb / fastboot files you're using.. there's some in the OP.What the hell i`m doing wrong. It`s been a while since last rooting with fastboot commands.
Adb reboot bootloader works fine...But in there when i try to boot/flash my own patched image, text saying in cmd waiting for device???
So there's no solution? I have orinal cable. Or have to download adb/fastboot files somewhere else and just try time after time if it's working?More than likely the adb / fastboot files you're using.. there's some in the OP.
Tested with Windows 10, 7 doesn't work.. I also had a problem with unofficial cables, they don't all work.
Well I'm sure there is a solution, you just have to go through a few things..So there's no solution? I have orinal cable. Or have to download adb/fastboot files somewhere else and just try time after time if it's working?
Looks like i'm not able to set adb/platform tools right.Well I'm sure there is a solution, you just have to go through a few things..
If you're already using the original cable and you're on win 10 then it'll more than likely be your adb / fastboot files you're using..
Create a new folder in the root of C, so the path would be C:/adb
Download the ones I've got in the OP or a reputable place.
Pop open a terminal / CMD window to that location then run:
adb reboot bootloader
When you boot to the bootloader...try fastboot reboot, if it works then you're golden..
It can only be so many things.
PS: use usb 2 instead of 3 or 3.1
That's completely untrue...Is it okay to relock the bootloader after rooting? I don't even know why I unlocked it...
Is it even possible to do so? Would it wipe my data?
I want to update to C30 as I'm still on C22 and oxygen updater doesn't work with unlocked BL
Looks like i'm not able to set adb/platform tools right.
I really don't know what i'm doing wrong?
I had root but magisk was hidden...then magisk was updated and i forgot to set it visible...that's where i did wrong.
I installed c30 again and thought that i easily patch it. Thought wrong![]()
Well, yes! I asked around in their discord and the devs themselves told me the method is for people with locked BL and that I should re lock it after rooting. That's completely untrue...
Oxygen updater does work, it downloads the file then you'll need the apk to flash it.
That's it
PS: it's literally all In the OP buddy..
Sorry are you saying that you can't use oxygen updater it's your bootloader is unlocked? If so then that is 100% untrue, oxy updater just downloads the file..Well, yes! I asked around in their discord and the devs themselves told me the method is for people with locked BL and that I should re lock it after rooting.
Weird, coming from a Xiaomi Mi8, having unlocked BL never posed an issue.
But then again, things might have changed in the time I was away from tinkering with stuff on Android
No, what I'm saying is that the method you describe in the OP doesn't apply to unlocked BLs, you can do it but it won't work and you risk bricking the device. Unlocked BLs should only update whenever there's a full update and not an incremental.Sorry are you saying that you can't use oxygen updater it's your bootloader is unlocked? You use the local install apk to install it then hold until you initiate the magisk after OTA, again that's in the OP
Omg dude, I wrote the OP . You're 100% wrong, if you've read the OP then you'd know that I have written that you should only use fill zips..No, what I'm saying is that the method you describe in the OP doesn't apply to unlocked BLs, you can do it but it won't work and you risk bricking the device. This is according to what I've read about the oxygen updater on the app, website and their discord

I've also written that it's a pre requisite to root to be bootloader unlocked.
Yes you can use incremental if you're not rooted but that's not what this thread is for, period.
Please read it before you comment or your just guessing and making pointless posts..
No need to be sorry... I apologise if I'm come across abrupt.I know you did. I'm sorry but it might be a language and translation issue because I didn't find it clear that you should use full zips only when you mention the updates from stable XX to stable XX+.
I'm just trying to figure out how to update my phone because I feel lost tbh
I'm sorry
You can update the phone just fine with unlocked BL. Those devs have no clue what they're talking about. Just take care to disable all modules, fully unroot first via Magisk, reboot! Then you can take the OTA update like normal, you will be unrooted of course. So just reroot via booting patched boot again on desired firmware.I know you did. Or just use the local update APK and click "install after OTA" in magisk, then reboot and you'll retain root .You can update the phone just fine with unlocked BL.
