thanks for patched images!
can you tell me where you download the OOS package and what you use to extract the boot partition?

i tried with oxygen updater and set it to "stable (full)" but fastboot-enhance and a bunch of other extractor tools all say its an incremental package. and when i tried anyways, the extracted partition did not boot...

i have consistently had this issue for a couple of OOS versions, going all the way back to january, and on both my 8T and 10Pro.
do you have any idea what i am doing wrong?

incremental or not, i do indeed use oxy updater, it's actually written in the OP, no secret

Just tick allow incremental within FE and you're good to go.

Huge Shout out to Dladz for taking the time out and walking me through this rooting Process. Not Only did this guide walk me through rooting my device, it also gave me the Bootimg i needed, so i didn't have to go through the process of extracting it. Hence, this Brother also helped me switch from NE2215 to the EU 2213. Bro, I truly Owe you Big time..!! Im a text away if you ever need my 2 cents. Well done for being able to do all the steps. It can be daunting and a little overwhelming at times, once you've done it you'll be and to repeat if needed.

C30 is now redundant anyway.

I did a local update from 2215 to 2213. Now on 2213 I don't have the blue "OxygenOS Card" on top of the about page. On 2215 that card was used for looking for system updates.

If you've read the OP you'll see I don't use normal system updates...

Just use oxygen updater..

Trust me the update is there for 2213.

Swerve system updste from the phone just use the app and the local system update APK, also in the OP.

But generally speaking you just need oxygen updater and the local install APK (it's in the OP in this thread)

Change to full zip, and download, install with local APK.

Reboot.

Done.

PS: I would look around, there are threads for this..

I was under the impression, I needed to do things like unlock the bootloader, download fastboot enhance etc.

No the bootloader remains unlocked..

You can't root whilst it's locked.

Just grab a patched image for the OS you're on from the OP and follow the booting method from the section that reads 3rd.

If you'd like to obtain your own boot image then follow the section that says 1st then 3rd.

That's it really.

PS: ideally it's good to read the entire thread, doesn't take long to read and you pick up on what you need to do pretty quickly.

Well done on unblocking and changing region, the oxygen updater method is definitely the way forward for anyone who needs to, not entirely sure if you can downgrade that way but that's two for two on same or upgrading to change region

As I wish to use banking apps on this phone. Do I need to relock the bootloader first? If so how is that done?

No as I've said above, the bootloader remains unlocked...

If you unlock it, then you'll wipe your phone and lose root.

Re: Banking, you will need to do a few things.

Turn on zygisk, systemless root, download displax' version of the safetynet fix. (Attached)

You may need to wipe data from Google play, Google play services and pretty much anything Google.

Then open up the deny list within magisk and go through all apps including system and deny Google services of any kind and your banks AND wallet if it's not already done.

From that point, install the attached mod and reboot.

1. Download mod (attached)
2. Turn on zygisk and systemless then configure the deny list by denying access to all apps, you'll need to click each one then check their sliders so they're lit as per the screenshot attached.
3. Reboot the device and then install the safetynet fix then reboot again.
4. Grab your banking apps and test them

I would 100% turn off auto updates to Google play, not every update is going to play nice and not all of them are good, google play is very much a case of "if it isn't broken, don't try to fix it"

Hope this helps, wallet and both my banking apps works as expected.

First direct and Monzo are my banks, first direct does recognise root but still works, monzo doesn't.

There is a chance that your banking app is going to be a pain and uses similar checks that Netflix may use, but it's worth a shot.
