No-NaMe ROM!! [NightShade Theme]

Ok i have a tricky one for you guess i just backed up my phone yesterday on twrp and changed a few things didn't like it then went to twrp today hit restore all went good.... and upon boot it wont turn on it boots to lock screen but lock screen is black and keep repeating unfortunately system ui has stopped. Any thoughts on what i have to change to get my restore to work? I open to questions as well... as a test i did a wipe> flash our rom again> followed by the mods> back to new and went to twrp .... backed this one up to... restored it and it again same error.... what could be the flaw?

Try saving restore to external ad and wipe system cache internal as card

Still no definitive reason why some of us have this issue and others have no problem at all restoring twrp backups.
Initially I thought that this is related to xposed being installed, but someone who did not have Xposed installed had the same issue, so this is still to be figured out, hope some experienced devs can chime in.

thanks that worked going there! I had my newly flashed of rom and modded system and xposed reinstalled and running after reading i flashed just the data only from my twrp back up and that took me right back to how i was when i backed up my v10... so ill take it.

My twrp auto checks efs so Yea it's always been backed up with efs. A side not this was my first attempt at a restore... I mostly am using titanium backup to restore but didn't want to do the 10 Summin mods I did over again.

I've had two backups fail,one with either No Name or Blackhole (Can't remember which) & one with stock De-Odexed.
I didn't see what happened w/the 1st fail,but,it was as if there was nothing there when I went to restore.

2nd failure,I noticed during the backup process it said "Backup FAILED".
After a 2nd attempt at backing up the same exact ROM,It succesfully completed the backup & I actually used the backup with no issues.

Might wanna keep a close eye on the backup process & read the dialog,ensuring everything goes off without a hitch.

I use about 30 40 a month as well I have used a decent amount but I am on metro pcs which doesn't throttle 60 for unlimited everything so hacked hotspot is a must but so far it's working and I'm into like 29 gb since yesterday due to skyrim update

What are your settings I'm not having such lovely battery life. Thanks battery has been off plug for 4 hours and I have about 28 percent left. Any suggestions

Can you tell me how you got hacked hotspot? Is it a setting? Modifying a system file?

I can't remember if Hotspot (WI-FI Tethering) was broke on this ROM or not,I'm running another ROM ATM........
Is it possible that your carrier/service provider is blocking this?

Reason I ask is that I know of an HTC ONE M9 owner who has the US AT&T Model is using it on Telstra Australia & the carrier is apparently blocking it.
Something similar may be going on with your device.

No I have successfully used hotspot tethering in many phones I doubt they are blocking it.

I'm in Dubai ATM and same story.

What happens is I can enable hotspot, people can connect but they don't have internet.

I think this phone is amazing. I am getting the free extra battery and memory card sent as well.
I hope this phone gets continued or more development support cause it's a good phone.
I may try to learn, wonder how long it would take.
Totally not speaking about this rom..it's just like in general.

I completely agree. This phone rocks. Camera and hardware are great build. This reminds me of my hd2...good times.

I'm using this rom because it's so smooth and stable. Still have the media player text not showing on panels and media control. I but I just go to the desktop interface for now.

I hope international Dev will peak...

you can fix the issue with no text showing in media player notification by going to Rom Control/Notification Background Color, choose any background color you like (check off Alpha and slide all the way to left or to center for transparent background) this fixed it for me.

I was finaly able to pinpoint whats causing the twrp restore issues for me, its associated with the Modded System that you can install from this rom. the base installer from this rom has no issues with restoring twrp backups the only times you will have restore issues is when installing No-NaMe ROM plus the Modded System and then backing up this will cause restore issues, so what i did was install the base installer only then setting up the phone the way I like with all apps and all my xposed mods etc. now I made a twrp backup then I did a complete wipe of system and data partitions and did a full restore and all is back the way it was, now you can go ahead and install the modded system.
perhaps the dev can chime in as to why the modded system will cause twrp restore problems.

Hey

I just flashed the nightshade theme and now I can't do anything because systemui keeps crashing saying systemui has stopped...
What could be going on?
I tried flashing it multiple times and redownloading it.
Still the same error.
