If you put the phone on vibrate or silent no shutter sound is heard.

Yes, that's what I do for now.
I just wonder if I could put my phone to ring mode with no shutter sound.
I should root my phone, but for now, G4 dual sim is quite complicated to root.

This is the G4 thread mate not G3 :laugh: ......and yeah, the G3 does not support camera API 2. Imagine how awesome would it be if the G3 would support camera API 2. Nobody arround here would upgrade to G4 because the main difference between the G3 and G4 is the camera. There are some other little things too but the main difference is the camera.

Like now, it makes JPEG and RAW format. But add new one - Better Portable Graphics (BPG).

Was an experiment to gain SD access which didn't work. If you have trust issues, don't use it

Ahh okay then. Yeah I guess the only way is to install it as a system app. Doesn't it cause problems if you leave this code in?

Also would it be possible to change the name of this app? Right now I'd use it in addition to the stock camera app and it looks too similar.

Anyway great work on it. Manual video mode is quite useful.
