Exactly no nougat no port of v20. Do you know if v20 has the same cam like G4/G5?
If you mean by camera sensor then yes it still has G4 camera. I think that it even may have same front camera as G4 as it's also 8 mpix?

Not working on LG G5

It says format not supported whenever I record videos and look for them in my gallery also I'm running Android Nougat 7.0 if that means anything

You're running Nougat?In which phone?G4?
If it is then it's a custom rom and this camera app can work only with stock based rom...

I'm on a Verizon LG G5 running 7.0 nuogut Which I downloaded from here as well.
The front facing camera works but when I try to use the rear camera everything is fine until I try to play back the video.
In which case it gives me the this file type is not supported massage.

LG G5 (LG-H860) updated 7.0 (not working anymore)

it opens the app and just "record" videos (manual controls, focus and zoom doesn't work), but the file is never saved in the gallery... just like if never was recorded nothing...

FC on lg g3:crying:
You can't use it on G3 as
A) G3 uses other 13Mpix sensor while G4 uses 16Mpix(not compatible between)
B) actually biggest problem I guess, G3 doesn't support lollipop camera API(called camera API2) which is responsible for real manual controls

Please inform us if LG G4 with this camera adapted from the V10, whoever has also better image stabilization (OIS + EIS) than the original G4. I decide between G4 or Leeco le max 2 (your view on this phone?). Thanks for the answers.

It's up to you if you need better performance(get Le max) or you need better camera performance(then it's clear you want to get the G4, it's still great deal if we talk about camera)

Of course, I prefer the camera. Le Max 2 in the selection with the ability camera2 api - as G4. Especially me wonder if G4 after the installation of cameras V10 whoever has the possibility of better image stabilization - equivalent to actual V10.

Does anyone on LG G5 have a problem with this app on nougat 7.0 stock ROM? It can't record manual videos anymore. It simply doesn't save. I've made sure all the permission are set and even allowed to access system writing and still nothing. I guess thats all for this nice manual camera for the G5.

This is pulled from Marshmallow and will work only with MM based roms. No Nougat fix is seen in near future unfortunately :( Thanks for the Camera apk to the post author!
I think that we need to wait until LG releases Nougat to G4 and V10. Then we will get updated camera to work with Nougat. BTW, why don't you use port from V20? I think there is some

EDIT:
My bad.
they don't share the same sensor. LG G5, G4 and V10 use Sony IMX234 sensor in main camera where V20 comes with Sony IMX298 sensor.
So it might not be that easy as it was with V10 and others ;)

Thank you for suggestion and I did check V20 but for whatever reason there are no manual controls unfortunately. I guess we have to wait for nougat on G4 but it's very unlikely it's ever going to be updated to that version.

I would say it's very likely that G4 will be updated to Nougat... All lg flagships gets 2 major updates and in G3 case maybe even 3. I know that G4 failed but still a lot of people are using this phone. LG can check it easily. If they do not release nougat then **** them and I'm back with Samsung. At least I get more than 1 update there not even mentioning monthly security patches
