I only have a G4 with Marshmallow.
I can't analyze it and cant know the problem.
You need to wait until G4 gets Nougat, so we are on the same base.

LG G6 cam from nougat saves without any problem on Marshmallow G4.
I really don't know why it doesnt work otherwise.

Try the G6 cam on your phone, I believe it shouldn't make any trouble on your phones.

Copy apk from download to "/system/private-app"
Change permisions to r/w, r, r
Install from there
Reboot

I couldnt find private-app in the Su. And I dont know how to install it from the system folder. Can someone help me? I set the chmod to 755 and rebooted. It installed the app and it seems like it is a system app now, because i cannot deinstall it, but the sd card error is still there.
I really need help ;(

It should be there. Use a root explorer like ES Explorer, allow root privelages etc, then go all the way back to "/" then to "system" then "private-app" must be there. And you need 644 I believe.

It seems you renamed the package to com.lge.cammra, probably to not be in conflict with the stock camera package. However, if you didn't rename it, it should be possible to remove the stock camera entirely and replace it with your V10 package and have it work even from lock screen, correct? So, could you provide the apk without the renaming done?

Thanks man....works well on the LG G5 as well. We have an unrootable phone. So having a standalone app with manual video control is beyond awesome.

Yes, the cam of the LG G4 is amazing.
I used Adobe Premiere pro.

You're using the wrong ROM. This is for stock only.

if you are using a custom Rom then you also need copy the library files in order to use the camera

This is a bit above my knowledge. Can you tell me how or point me in the right direction? Where and how do i get the library files and where do i copy them?
