it can run alongside the default G4 camera app. I have both apps installed and use this V10 camera as default system app. Cant say that i noticed if it is faster at taking shots with equal clarity but i like it more than the stock G4 cam app.

yes it can.. if name are same then only change it to v10camera
i beleive that v10 adds manual mode in video .missing on stock camera..

It also supports FHD 60 FPS recording.
No need to change dpi
No force close on camera manual mode
Installation:
Just install it like a normal apk

- no more double video sizes

- changed certificate, old one got detected as virus from some antivirus (you need to remove your old app)

LG forbids to change camera storage selection for normal apps, there are two solutions
- install as system app (rooted users only)
- use sd card as internal (this method works also for non rooted phones)
i will not add lollipop support
too much work. and if other models have problems -> add log
I only have 815 so therefore cant know whats the problem on your phone

I think not but if you have H815 you will be able to use fully functional G6 camera

Well, you will still be able to use G6 camera as G4 and G6 nougat is almost the same, just wait for H815 to get nougat

If you're talking about this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/themes-apps/root-g6-camera-ported-to-g4-alpha-t3579134 it's a very early port that was discontinued and doesnt offer manual mode. I just tried it on my 6.0 LG G4.
But maybe you meant something else.

Anyone know what is compression quality (usually in % terms) for jpge photo quality on this app or v10 default setting? Also what is Mbps quality for video recording for 1080p 60fps and UHD Mbps quality?

I'm trying this camera on MM 20v. @defcomg i copied your libs from link below to MM directory /system/vendor/lib and changed permissions to 0644. Will this camera app be able to take advantage of those adjustments in denoise? If those have been revised since then to better onces please let me know. I'm a big fan of picture quality. Thank you on your hard work.

Where does this v10 camara apk point to to values for Mbps rate. I have modified values in media_profiles.xml in /system/etc and it change is on default MM camera but it has no effect on V10 apk Mbps rates. I have change permissions to 0644 too.
