Flashed Desire HD to Blackout ICS Incredible v3.0 [4.0.4][Sense 3.6], worked well for a week or so. Then decided to upgrade radio, & after reading some got impression you have to upgrade RIL same time to match the Radio. Now after losing sim access, I see after reading more that with ICS roms you do not change the RIL. My question is, does anyone have the RIL that came with this Blackout ICS ROM for me to just change back to, or a url link to it. I believe it was 2.2.0018 or something, from March 2011.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=902752 <--- OK seems I found the correct 2.2.0018G RIL here, but alas, seems I cannot just install this back. Just tried, & it does the same thing, no sim access. I guess a ROM re-install is in order, unless someone knows a quicker solution.
Try wiping dalvik and cache, flash the rill. If it doesn't work, well....full wipe then.

Wait, you're not supposed to flash RILs separately for non-Sense post-ICS ROMs. Just wipe cache and dalvik and dirty flash the full ROM to put the correct RIL back. You don't need to flash a RUU or get S-ON.i'm flashing new ril too.

I'm flashin Virtouos Rom with Sense 4.0
After that, i flash RIL
And i give "No Sim Card"
Now my device is S-Off and work with Sense ROM , but the problem with SIM remains

RIL 's are meant for only stock roms not for custom roms.n if u flash a ril on a custom Rom thn my frynd u will loose ur phone signalSo ... i do it some time's ago (1-2 mouth)

Like said bananagranola to repair this just in recovery wipe cache and dalvik and after that WITHOUT WIPE flash ROM once more. If ROM when flashing in aroma installer asks to wipe just say no.

RIL should not be flashed in 4.0.x Roms. Are just for the Sense based GB ones. Make sure also that you sim back cover is right set and try wiping the antenna (those 2 metal pin in the back cover with a little alcohol).i'm flashing new ril too.

If that is not working...as everybody told you, reflash the rom without wiping....RIL will be replaced with the ROM one again.
Are you sure that the sim cover is fine? Maybe the antenna got messed somehow. Software issue should be solved with software...that sounds that a hardware issue...but idk for sureOh...
yeah, that sucks....maybe it is time to find a service centre....No one to take
