Hi,
So yeah I'm running Ubuntu Touch as the main OS on my Nexus 5, but the SIM card just won't be detected, I've tried reflashing multiple N5 stock roms, taking the SIM out and putting it back in, factory resetting, just everything I've found from quick research. Has anyone else encountered and/or resolved this issue?

I do on the Nexus 4. I got Ubuntu only on my phone. Also looking for a solution.
Looking forward for the next promotion to see what happens. Probably nothing but still hopeful.

It happens to me on my Nexus 4' ubuntu-rtm release installed via MultiRom.
Solved thanks to a script in /usr/share/ofono/scripts/ which is "enter-pin"
So, try typing in a terminal ("xxxx" is your pin code):

/usr/share/ofono/scripts/enter-pin pin xxxx

and voilà ! phone connects to network !
