Same issue here
I have flashed the modem already, but it did not resolve the issue. WiFi works, BT does not.

Hi can you please provide us your twrp back up? That would be of a lot of helpI noticed the same thing with the wifi MAC when I flashed ElementalX kernel to my otherwise stock but rooted Moto Z.
Restoring from my TWRP backup resolved the issue and the MAC address displays correctly again.
Is your Moto Z bootloader unlocked and do you have TWRP installed? If not, maybe you can go down that route to flash a custom ROM. (unfortunately I don't think the official firmware is available)
Hey guys,
my phone has the same issue. I tried to flash the modem but that did not work, still no Wifi and Bluetooth. I did not unlock my phone yet since karendar stated there was no need for that.
My phone got wet a couple of months ago (which is why there is no warranty anymore) but it worked fine until I updated to 7.1.1 recently. So I'm pretty sure the issue is due to the update.
This is what happened when flashing the modem:
Does that look alright or should I unlock my phone and try again?Code:(bootloader) slot-count: not found (bootloader) slot-suffixes: not found (bootloader) slot-suffixes: not found (bootloader) has-slot:modem: not found target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes sending 'modem' (81729 KB)... OKAY [ 1.766s] writing 'modem'... OKAY [ 1.110s] finished. total time: 2.892s
Thanks for your help![]()
i see the alike text, i not sure if my bootloader is unloket y have resurexxion remix, us can find that archive for recovery?I am not aware of any solution other than wait for the next OTA.
As long as you know that your warranty is void after unlocking the bootloader, the procedure is well detailed on the Motorola website.

They told the same thing to me. When I replied that Bluetooth was still dead after an hard reset and after disabling Google Play's Protect feature, they admitted it's an hardware problem, and they told to have the device repaired in a repair center.Funny thing is, moto customer service is blaming it on Google Play's Protect scanning that was introduced not so long ago...

dicer42 I am having the same problem, however I do not understand your answer very well. Could you please tell me step by step how you solved it? Thanks you!!I had the same issue just now after ending up in a weird situation after trying to flash the OTA to 7.0 using TWRP (failed in the middle leaving me with a partially updated phone). This did not cause the problem, but to get OTAs working again, I flashed the official image (well: boot, system and oem) from https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/griffin/official/ (RETEU in my case). This downgraded my phone from 24.21.46 (with parts from 25.11.14) to 24.21.17, but relocking my bootloader worked. After a reboot I experienced the 02:00... MAC though. My solution was to then also flash the modem from the link above (24.21.17) after which the WiFi worked again (and also enabled me to install OTAs again as planned).
Not sure if newer bootloaders will prevent you from downgrading to that version above, but it sure worked for me. Worth trying I guess. Especially since the link provides signed images that can be flashed with a locked bootloader. Just make sure to get a matching image for your region.
