No, that's not true. Flashing the GPT, the bootloader, the modem partition, the BT partition and DSP partition works fine in a locked bootloader phone. The only partitions that can't be flashed in a locked bootloader status is system, recovery and boot.

His issue is not the same as mine though, as mine occurred when I attempted to roll back to 7.0. He seems stuck on 7.0. So he would need the proper NON-HLOS.bin for his version and flash it.
@minotaurus81 did you update your phone to 7.1.1 and did it fail? Because that's the only way I think it could have messed up your phone. I strongly suggest that if you don't have the technical knowledge to fix this to return your phone for warranty repair. You might mess things up even further if you don't do the right thing...

No. Unbranded, bought in Mexico. Unlocked. Bootloader is look, stock firmware, stock kernel, no modifications whatsoever. Warranty voided. No technical support in my country.

I would like to locate the nougat firmware for this device. As I said before I Wan to flash it myself. But can't figure out what's the right one. Don't want to brick the smartphone. As for hardware damage, I don't think so, everything was working perfectly before the update, and I performed the Ota update correctly, the device wasn't rooted, not any modification whatsoever. I'm sure that there's a problem whit the firmware and the way the Ota it's implemented. Can anyone help me?

I'm having a similar problem with mine, except the WiFi still works and the MAC addresses for the WiFi and Bluetooth are only one character apart. That's weird, isn't it?

As for my opinion, it's a FW error when the BT/WiFi MAC is null/invalid ( 02:00:00:00:00:00 )

If you google this MAC you'll find other phones with same issue and mostly it was always solved with the correct flashes.
Samsung had same kind of problem but with IMEI on the Galaxy line and it was solvable by rebuilding a file or restoring it from one of valid backups.

If the BT/WiFi MAC is "normal" then it should be hardware.
At least this is the conclusion that seems most probable from conditions from which people were able and unable to solve the issue.
I'll take my Moto to a repair center, waiting for them to point me a correct one here in Portugal and when I do, I'll have all MAC's and serials noted down so we can understand what kind of repair they do in this case ( some kind of flash or board replacement ).

The MAC address seems to be displayed if it operates normally.
I replaced the kernel files several times and checked the operation, but the problem did not solve.
It is because I confirmed the display of address by the normal operation of Bluetooth.
It also applies to wifi. It was confirmed that the MAC address remained from the log on the terminal it has, but shut down due to thermal runaway if it is recognized several times.
It can be regarded as poor soldering of the connected chip.
Recognize occasionally as the temperature rises. Then it concludes that it is hardware corruption.

Yes, this is true in many cases but the strange thing that this problem showed up in many devices after a certain OTA update on stock devices. Could it be hardware damage caused by thermals on certain production batches? If so, then Motorola should be held accountable of repair cost to all such devices. Also, If this is true then it can explain all the damaged batteries.

@Op, boot to safe mode:

Turn off phone
Hold vol down + Power
Connect phone to PC
Make sure fastboot is properly installed
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
Reboot phone

Wifi and BT will be back up and running.

Hello, I'm from Brazil and I bought a moto z sheridan chinese version I installed several stock roms and I can not speak the device to work wifi nor the bluethooth, it copm the android 8.0 can I make the return to the rom TELUS Firmware (NPL25.86- 30) or use at RETMX? I can not use the phone without the wifi and do not sell it too, please can anyone help me?
