Disclaimer
1. If OTA works for your phone and you get updates regularly be patient and soon or later you'll get a monthly security update, Oreo, whatever...
2. This topic might be helpful for those who struggles with getting OTA updates and is stuck at a certain update level.
3. If you decide to install update manually you'll do this at your own risk.
4. Update links are for 00WW firmware pointing directly to OTA update server

How to check if an update can be installed on your phone

Updates are NOT cumulative and have to be installed sequentially one by one, e.g. if your phone stuck at June update level you need to install July update first and do not jump straight to December.

1. download OTA update file on your PC and unzip it
2. go to META-INF/com/android/
3. open metadata file and look for "pre-build-incremental"
4. if it matches the build number from your phone's About screen you're safe to apply the update

Though build name displayed in About does not always match build name from build.prop:
00WW_3_700_SP01 == 00WW_3_70A
00WW_3_700_SP02 == 00WW_3_70D
00WW_3_72A_SP01 == 00WW_3_72B
00WW_3_73A_SP01 == 00WW_3_73B
00WW_3_72A_SP02 == 00WW_3_72C

This Oreo Beta update has to be installed on top of 00WW_3_72A_SP01 (aka 00WW3_72B) December update. I don't have rollback link and am not sure I'll get it. So install Beta at your own risk.

[Note] there are three different December updates available depending on a carrier/region, because 2nd and 3rd November updates were not available in some regions.
00WW_3_700_SP02 (aka 00WW_3_70D) for those upgrading from the first Nov update 00WW_3_700_SP01 (00WW_3_70A)
00WW_3_72A_SP01 (aka 00WW_3_72B) for those upgrading from the second Nov update 00WW_3_72A
00WW_3_73A_SP01 (aka 00WW_3_73B) for those upgrading from the third November update 00WW_3_73A
Some websites have download links to 00WW_3_700_SP02, if you try to apply it to your 00WW_3_72A you'll get the brick. Check downloaded zip file contents whether it's suitable for your phone.

It's stored in a protected folder, you need root.

Hi, one question please, when did you receive this OTA? Because I requested it long time ago and nothing happens. I have a ta-1039 from Peru.

But if they didn't release the roll back ota for my phone, I wouldn't get the URL?

Did you updated your phone to oreo officially via on the air update from nokia, if yes then go to beta labs and request for rollback OTA.

Today I tried for it and get the OTA with in 1 min.

Really? Wow that's amazing. Yes, I officially updated. I requested ota and nothing happens. But I will try again.

Oh, I see that your nougat version is 3.72B. My version of nougat was 3.70D. Maybe for that reason I don't get the rollback ota.

Should be ok for TA-1039 as well.

The link provided is the official downgrade from Oreo beta to December update 00WW_3_70D. If 00WW_3_70D is the December update rolled out in your region/carrier then you will receive January OTA update for 7.1.2 in your region.

Oh I see. Well when I was in nougat I had the November update and I didn't receive the December patch. I registered for Oreo beta and suddenly appears the notification of December (3.70D), and then Oreo beta notification. That's my concern... But I will try it and see what happens.
