How do we do this? (I'm afraid it may be too late for me, because I already received mine a couple days ago - though of course it contained the May patches, June will be a month from now I guess)
I was talking about the June update that should be out at the end of June, yes.
But I do not need it anymore, I found a guy who flashed my bricked 7.1 and managed to restore my data while doing so as well.

If you still want to know how to do it out of curiosity though, here's a link: (EDIT: apparently I can't post a link because my account is too young, PM me if you're interested in it, please)

The second method seems to be much easier.

I was going to post the link myself, but even I can't do it.

Talking about censorship.

Got the OTA patch, put my phone into "download mode"... Can't seem to recover or reset it.

Edit: On recovery screen at very bottom has

Boot Reason: enablefilecrypto_failed

Ideas?

Could you give me more information on what your phone is doing.

Sometimes after an OTA fails it gets stuck in Download Mode. Is this the case?

If it is, try these steps...

1. Try to force reboot...
Press and hold Volume Up & Power (lock) buttons together for about 15 seconds.

2. Try rebooting via fastboot: (fastboot reboot)

3. If that doesn't work try uninstalling the Nokia phone drivers and reinstalling on the computer... if you are on Windows do this from Device Manager. Download the Nokia drivers from here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=298059

3.5. Check to see if your phone is detected via fastboot: (Fastboot Devices)

Note: The next steps would likely cause you to have to do a factory data reset. Yes, you will lose your data. If your phone can be detected and you are able to do any data transfer via MTP. This would be the time to do it. Likely though, you're going to lose your data. :(

4. Check your current slot: (fastboot getvar current-slot) - remember the current/active slot.

4.5. Change to the inactive slot. If the current slot is a, then run (fastboot --set-active=_b) or if the current slot is b, then run (fastboot --set-active=_a).
4.9. (Fastboot reboot)
5. You might get a warning notification stating that your phone can't load the system. Data may be corrupt. You have two options (Try Again, or Factory Data Reset)

5.5. If you see the warning again....you're gonna have to reset.

I got this message when trying to apply the jan-2020 update from adb:
Package is for source build 00WW_4_08C but expected 00WW_4_08D
Installation aborted

Yesterday I foolishly install the security update and got into the bootloop situation and hoped to recover by adb but seems this is different version.
