cannot downgrade from Oreo with Sept/Oct Security Patch

I cannot downgrade my nokia 8 TA-1052 with slot A: Sept SP, Slot B: Oct SP.
- the method in this post: long waiting in the processing UI (20min), after I reboot my phone manually and nothing changed.
- the method in the guide using OSTLA 6.0.4: error message (detail), and after reboot, nothing changed.
Could someone help me with that?

P.S. I just want to root it but all the roots methods failed with my security patch versions.

Nobody could. Its a Google`s trap. We all have a hope that someone (Neo, Morpheus etc.) will break this short circle.

Certainly... I was not that stupid :crying:
Finally rooted by using "fastboot flash boot [pre-rooted img]" on slot A (with september SP) other than "fastboot boot".
A direct flashing to the boot partition worked but the simulation no, it was strange.

Haven't you read that info on xda? It is known since much much time.

For instance here: https://xdaforums.com/nokia-8/how-to/guide-how-to-root-nokia-8-ability-to-t3848390/page8

And we are talking about what skills? Being no lazy, not wanting to get all straight and ability to use search?

Sorry but I want to stop this no-sense discussion. I suggest you to read our conversation again. In fact I really wonder if you can read English without problem. (Personally, If I didn't understand what a post says, normally I read it again and again to comprehend before replying to it)

P.S. (1) your link does not mention what I just replied (#232).
(2) I just wanted to volunteer my experience about how I finally rooted my device, I cannot understand why it means I am lazy. If you think you know much more than others, please share your experience to help the others, rather than posting your useless criticism.
(3) I read some of your history replies, it seems you love whining as "I cannot understand why so many people here are stupid". OK, If this makes you happy, go on. But remember that nobody likes unprovoked blaming.

Ha, wondering if I can read without a problem (which is obviously offensive from your side) sounds funny from you. If you do not know what I mean, you may google. But back to the topic, post #223 - older one, you mentioned OST gave you error. Nice feedback, if you do not know yet, error code always means something, would be nice to add this as well. Next based on post #232 obviously you had problems with booting to patched img. And flashing helped. And seems you were suprised. And info was already known. And the name simulating...man...booting not simulating (referring to your impression that I cannot read english)

And of course if you read forum, you would notice that I tried to help every time I could. But seeing repeating questions about things that are already explained...

1. For the OST LA error message (in version 6.0.4), this thread is not about OST LA version 6.0.4 so I gave my feed back about the error code in the corresponding thread (https://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=77970981&postcount=6), it is not a logical choice to avoid confusion? and for the moment there is no solution. If you can help, many users count on you.

2. Yes I was quite surprised when I realized that "booting to" (what was called "simulation" in my latest reply) a patched image didn't work while a direct "flashing" patched image finally worked. Personally I prefer not to directly flash a patched boot image without a trial by "booting to" it, is there a problem? You said "And info was already know", could you please tell me where I could find it? What's more If you can explain me the cause of the different results I will be happy to know.

3. For the term "simulating", you laughed at me because you used "booting to (patched img)" or "booting (not simulating)". Maybe the term "simulating" is not accurate, According to the help document of fastboot, one should say "Download and boot kernel from RAM". I am just a user other than a developer, and I am sorry if this term is confusing. However it seems that the word "simulating" is easy to be understood in the context "A direct flashing to the boot partition worked but the simulation no" in my original reply. At least you understood what I meant without problem.

So you think it is necessary to laugh at the others for these kinds of things?

Ok stop this, it is off topic, if you would like to talk more, I invite you to PM, if not, have a nice day. And I am not laughing, you were the one that insulted me and my english skills. Think before you write. I do not have time to search for you. I unlocked my bootloader in August, and since than I experienced many things, including not able to boot after September. Somehow I managed to find answers.
Regarding error, writing "I have error" without error code is as good as answer for such thing like "Here it works". Says nothing. But nice you gave feedback in Nokia 7 Plus forum.

Once again have a nice day and still you are welcome to PM me if you want to continue.

Anyhow, it was you who started the conflict with an offensive reply ,if you read #232 and #233 again.
I am not native English speaker so I won't feel insulted if someone complains of my poor English. I complained about your English because it seemed that you didn't understand what I meant (c.f. #232 and #233).
I cannot understand why you continue blaming me of not giving the error code, even after my explication. I said that I HAD given the details in another thread (for SOT LA V6.0.4) in order to avoid confusion because it is not the version used in this thread.
To finish, we are on the Nokia 8 board in the xda-developers forum, if it was what you wanted to mean by "my feedback 'in Nokia 7 Plus forum' ".
